I played with the Terps at FSU last night and got absolutely torched. I scored first to make it 7-0 and didn't do much right after that. FSU - 65 UMD - 21. Their rushing attack tore me up... Booker had right around 200 yards if not more. I think Ball had 100 too, and they combined for 5 or 6 TD's.
I play on All American, 9 min quarters, with Playmakers sliders from OS. Penalties seem better this year too, using these sliders there were about 20 total penalties. |

Anyone else having problems playing online right now. I'm trying to play TAF1972 (I forget what is handle is here on FOFC) and we keep getting disconnect messages at the team select screens. Both of us appear to have good strong internet connections at the moment.

Just played the first game of my Dynasty, I beat 1-AA East (William & Mary on the real schedule) 62-0. I ran all over them, 62 rushes for 317 yards and 7 TD's. Starting RB Lance Ball had 18 carries for 100 yards and a TD, and backup Josh Allen had 21 carries for 126 yards and 5 TD's.
I ran 96 total plays on offense to 61 for them, but I had 7 more minutes time of possession. |

Is anyone else having trouble stopping the deep ball? I've been torched by the AI as far as the deep balls.

Has anyone who has the 360 rosters been able to play an online game? I can't seem to connect with anyone, and I'm wondering if it is because I have downloaded rosters? I have full bars on the dashboard.

This game is great . I did a quick "Play Now" game. I was Michigan (#14) vs. Ohio State (#1) at Michigan. Consequently this was the game that told me I need to start playing AA and leave Varsity behind. Nevertheless, I was up 24-7 in the final minute of the game and I broke off a 25 yard run with my RB when the crowd started chanting "OVERRATED! OVERRATED!"
Sweet .

Assuming you are talking about the 360 version, I think it is essential to mix up your coverages. When I start calling a play or type of coverage too much is when I get burnt. |

From what I understand and this is coming from memory. You can not use downloaded rosters online for the XBOX360. IIRC a bunch of dweebs on OS were complaining about it. |

I've been playing Raiders Army online and I've downloaded the FK rosters. I don't think it matters because you only use default rosters online anyways In our last game we had something very odd happen. He scores a TD and I block the PAT attempt to make the score 35-34. He tries the onside kick and the ball goes out of bounds. Somehow the game gives possession to him on the 42. I may be wrong but shouldn't I have gotten the ball back on a out of bounds kick?

Yeah, some weird stuff. I wish I would've won legitimately since I came back from a 14-35 deficit in the 3rd quarter to win 41-35. It was a good game, but to be fair, Bearcat hadn't played with Air Force until that game and he wasn't familiar with the roster or plays.
Just because I told you I'd do it, here's the score: Man, I look pretty fat in this pic. |

I'm too far into my dynasty to use the new FK rosters
My downloaded rosters are the default rosters, but I didn't overwrite the original ones, so they should be somewhere on my disk I would think. However, the game automatically loads my rosters every time when I turn on the game. I wonder why I can't seem to stay connected to anyone? Are any of you using a router? Do you have to leave any specific ports open?

I'm using a router. I'm not sure what ports are open, but I know that I can't do the media center thing to stream movies onto my 360.
I think you need to make the rosters that came with the game your default rosters and that would solve the problem. It shouldn't make a difference when you go into your dynasty. That would solve the whole game thing, but the chat thing is still a mystery. Have you been able to chat with anyone else? |

I'm not sure it matters. I use the first set of FK rosters. It is what will load when I start my game and I haven't had any trouble so far.

I've had some problems with directly connecting to people as well. I could sure use some advice on my router lol. I have a buddy who knows PC's and stuff pretty well and it seems like we can't get the port to my 360 to be totally open. I had big problems when trying to play PDZero and connecting to games. I could only connect to like 10% of the games. And I tried chatting with Raiders Army the other night and we couldn't connect. I need to get this fixed ASAP. BTW, I'd love to play some NCAA '07 online if I could find the time My GTag is kingneb. Good luck! |

Ok, I just fixed my problem!!! It was my router. For me, I had to open the port UDP 88. I also had to open both the UDP port and TCP 3074 ports. I had already done this at my old place, but my address was different in my new home. After I did that, I thought the problem was fixed but it wasn't as a failed attempt to chat with TAF1972 showed. So, I read up some more, and found a site that suggested that I enable UPNP to fix the problem because my NAT on the 360 diagnostic screen was still moderate. I enabled UPNP on my router, and that made "NAT" open, and sure enough I just chatted with Sackattack
So, I think that is your problem too probably King. Now, I'm 99% sure that I should be able to play you guys online in NCAA football, since the 360 help screen said NAT would prevent online gaming as well

Awesome. I'll be on at various points today.

Just had two great online games with TroyF. Online play was silky smooth and so much fun. I beat him with USC when he used West Virginia. Then, he beat me with his Colorado team when I used Rutgers. Great fun.
I'm so glad I figured out my router problem.

He got the opening kickoff and had a 4:20+ drive, scoring a TD to take the lead. I got my bearings, recovered to kick a FG to make it 7-3. I put together a drive and punched it in (my first TD in close to 7 quarters against Eagles). Then after an INT, I hit a WR on a blown coverage for a 20+ yard score. I fumbled the ball and he ran it back for a TD to cut the lead to 17-14. After I survived a scare by pressing the wrong button, I held on to win by that score. The Rutgers FB kicks ass. He just destroyed me on that opening drive. |

Yeah, Troy and I were talking during the games and I think we both agree that this is the best console football game we have ever played. There are some minor flaws, but so many things are done right with the gameplay. I can see myself playing this game for hundreds and hundreds of hours over the next year. |

I agree, Eagle (btw, I hope you don't mind me adding you to my friends list)- each time I play the game I see more things I like.
Today, in the second game of my Maryland dynasty, I upped to skill level to All-American even though I am pretty darn horrible at the game. So, I welcomed Middle Tennessee State to College Park and, of course, found myself down 21-17 in the 3rd quarter. Deep in my territory, Middle Tennessee State's QB threw an out pattern and I intercepted it. On the run back, my cornerback was hit and was spun around but somehow kept on his feet and took it all the way for the go-ahead TD, and what do I see? A close-up of the referee declaring that there was defensive pass interference on the play (by my LB, no less). NOOOOO!!!! I ended up losing, 27-17. You know a game sucks you in when you're that upset over a call. Great stuff .

I'm going to have to get my ass kicked online soon enough . Unfortunatly I don't expect to be on the 360 much today (Deadwood on tonight!! ).
And besides, I gotta bone up on All-American, which I haven't even touched since the demo!

Yes indeed, the game is really fun so far. I actually can't wait for road games now because each stadium looks so damn impressive. I can't believe how great games look in HD.
I really hope Madden is this much fun this year. |

Wow. Speaking of great plays, Jarrett just went full extension for a ball that was overthrown. I don't think I've seen that animation before. Even cooler, I could see it hit his finger tips and bounce off.

I thinking of getting the xbox 360 and NCAA 2007 soon too. From what you guys are saying the gameplay, fun factor, sims stats, AI, pancakes all look great. I probably play in on my 19" flat pc monitor for now until one day when I get a sony sxrd hdtv then I switch over and play it on there. |

MLB 2006: The Show was the killer app that made me buy a PSP. I was hoping NCAA would be this way for the 360, it's the only reason I got one. Thus far, I've been very happy with the decision.
