Love seeing Fleener and Luck re-united with the Colts. Cool story.

The odd thing about Mitchell is how good he was in 1995 (FO has him #1, oddly in the same year they have Erik Kramer as #2) and how bad he was every other year (20th or worst).

See now why the Broncos kept trading down. They had Wolfe higher on their board then Jerel Worthy, Devon Still, and Kendall Reyes - all who at least by the media were ranked considerably higher.

Terrible pick by the Browns IMO. Should've taken Martin.

Hate this pick they might of got this guy in the early fifth late fourth if they wanted. Elway sucks as a draft guy.

I think Decker and Thomas are a very good pair of wideouts who will only be better with Peyton. Tamme looked very good when Clark went down a few years back too. I don't think their receiving options are that bare.

Decent pick by the Dolphins. I'd rather have had Hill out of Georgia Tech, but Martin can be our RT.

As a note, Emery trades for Brandon Marshall, and trades up to draft a big WR in the 2nd round. I still don't like his 1st round pick, but at least he is acknowledging his WR corps sucks. Now for the love of god, get some more 800 pound behemoths to protect Cutler.

Hmm, wouldn't mind Dwayne Allen slipping to the Colts. The Patriots showed two TEs offenses can be very effective and Allen's excellence in blocking and short route ability might mesh well with Fleener's explosiveness and big play ability.

Millenesque!

Huge needs on defense. Stil holes on o-line. No running back. Could use help at lb and a pass rusher.

Another wr was the last thing they needed. Especially one who has no size and coming off an ACL.

Faith in Mayhew... Shaken

Still is great value there, can't have too many talented d-linemen if you can pick them up that cheaply

Wierd pick by the Lions, although could turn out nicely if he hasn't lost a step coming back from injury

To be fair though, Pats hit the gold mine with a couple vastly different all pros. Everyone says their success will be imitated, but they are just making good use of a couple rare talents. Can't imitate that.

Another ridiculous Steelers pick. They could have got the best guard and the second best tackle in the draft in terms of talent, drafting as late as they did.

At least Mahew could have traded the pick to get a 3 & a 5, then used the 5 to pick Broyles.

And if he wasn't there? So what.

Not that I don't hope he's one hell of a #4 receiver.... But when Konz & Adams come off the board 1-2 right after?

I would have prefered ANY secondary player, another OL, a RB, LB... even another DL. I just don't see how a #4 WR (whenever he gets healthy) is worth this pick.

Some of their fan sites had been touting the approach that we should go for a half-ton of talent in the first three rounds. DeCastro fits the bill, so far. I'd really like to see us get a NT by the end of today, but if an OT like Jonathan Martin or Mike Adams (or if Cordy Glenn somehow continues to slide) falls to us, it would be hard to pass up. Ben really took a beating last season and firming up the OL is a smart investment.

If NT Alameda Ta'amu of Washington (how did he not end up going to Texas A&M w/ a name like that?) is available, he would also be tough to pass up. Alabama NT Josh Chapman looks like he would be a good fit in round 3 or 4 -- reminds me a bit of Joel Steed.

Really pleased with the second round pick (mostly because I never get them right).

Pouncy, Gilbert, and now DeCastro and Adams have the making of a real solid, young offensive line to protect Ben.

If they could somehow get Ta'Amu now, I would be thrilled.

Steelers having a Steelers draft.

I'd love to get some sort of Sproules type back, Ben keeps the plays going and you could gash people with a pass catching back. We've never had one that I can think of. It's been awhile.

That's an interesting pick. Makes sense to take a project to learn from Manning while he's around. It's a round too high for him but somebody was going to take him before they picked again

I wouldn't mind grabbing Chris Polk out of Washington.

I'm not sure he'll make it to our 3rd round pick and if he does, I'm not sure if I'd take a RB if one of those NT are left.

I think ESPN's tracker had him as the 3rd best QB prospect. He gets to sit and learn with no real pressure outside of Manning going down. I don't know how good he will be or not, but by default it was a better pick than what Miami and Cleveland did.

I like the Osweiler pickup by Denver. It's the right situation for him although I would have liked him more in the 3rd.

The Packers front is looking very good with the addition of Perry and Worthy, same goes for the Eagles with their three picks.

Unbelievable job by the Steelers in overhauling the O-Line.

Love the draft so far. DeCastro was considered one of the best overall players out there - in terms of pure score, he was a top 6 talent, though his position grade knocks him down on the boards - and to get him where they did was incredible.

They follow that with a guy at the end of the 2nd who had been mocked to the Steelers in the 1st round - a true LT in Mike Adams. Gilbert, Colon, Pouncey, DeCastro, Adams, Foster...that's a potentially awesome OL for years to come.

As for the pass catching back, they may already have one in Baron Batch. Before he blew out his ACL last year, he was making a lot of camp noise for that 3rd down type role. In fact, if he hadn't gotten hurt, it appeared likely that he would have taken Moore's job last year. So they may feel that they don't need one.

Gotta get a DT soon. This may be a "1,000 pounds of beef in the first 3 rounds" draft for the Steelers.

I don't know. If Manning is the Manning of old, you may be forced to make a decision on a second contract without ever seeing him play a regular season down.

Seems like a waste of a 2nd round pick.

Whoever gets Polk is going to have a gem. Guy reminds me a lot of Ray Rice, both of who I watched a ton of play at their respective colleges.

I'm not sure Manning has more than three years in him. Which would probably be perfect for A project. Like I said I think it was the right fit for both player and team but simply taken too early.

They've moved up a few times in recent years. The big one was moving up for Polamalu. And then they moved up to get Santonio Holmes when he fell during his draft. They've nailed the picks when they have moved in the first round (they moved back to get Casey Hampton, as well).

Manning of old is still old. He's one injury away from being done.
