This thread took an interesting turn. Also on the tweet that KSyrup linked, how about ...

I don't know, I'm legitimately curious.

One risk of doing that is getting tax departments involved in terms of where you live. Lying about residency in terms of taxes is a serious problem.

I'm sure there are a small number of voter fraud cases, we find a few every cycle, but there's no evidence of even hundreds of cases, so certainly nothing like the millions GOPers sometimes claim.

Yes.

Don Jr tweet-whined about none of the 2024 hopefuls backing Trump and immediately Cotton and Haley tweeted something.

Maybe we shouldn't know vote counts until after all of the votes have been counted or its pretty obvious who won a state.

What's wrong with that idea?

Totally agree. I posted earlier here (I think) about the terminology we use - No one is "leading" or "behind," one of them won and one of them lost the minute voting was legally over. We just don't know who. There's no reason to concoct narratives based on where the vote is coming from or which ones are counted first.

If Biden wins AZ, he didn't "hold onto the lead," he had the most votes by a slim margin. Trump's not losing his lead in PA and GA. This isn't a real-time race played out over hours/days, we just need a one-time dump of the result.

This. It’s just a matter of those reporting on it using different words to convey the message. Nobody is winning or losing. It’s a game where the turns are out of order.

So... Alaska? WTF?

The dynamics of the Alaska Senate race at this hour remain in a state of flux. With approximately 44.6 percent of the ballots not yet counted, we believe we will win once every vote has been counted in the state.
— Dr. Al Gross (@DrAlGrossAK) November 6, 2020

My quick math says he'd have to get like 73% of the mail-in vote. I mean, it doesn't seem likely, but like long-shot possible...?

Alaska has such a unique electorate, it’s probably hard to take anything we know and apply it there. A lot depends on how well Alaska GOPers listened to Trump on the mail ins, but there sure seem like a lot of 75-25 Dem to GOP mail in batches.

That game is number three of the best games ever, right behind the 1995 World Series game 6 and the 1980 Sugar Bowl. We get so few great games.

So Trump must be upset about AZ because those are clearly illegal votes just like in PA, right?

Clayton county, Georgia says they will have their final 5.7k ballots counted by midnight. That will be about 5.5k Biden votes. That will put him well over the top.

Lisa Murkowski is up for re-election in 2022 and there have been some rumors that Sarah Palin may challenge her, so Gross may be building up a war chest to run again and improve his name recognition. Murkowski vs Palin seems like it could be one of those where Palin could win the GOP primary but be too extreme for the general election. Plus, Gross is a former Republican Independent.

And the aforementioned Clayton county has 5700 votes to go. Those will be roughly 4700-1000 Biden.

AZ Secretary of State says there are 200K left in Maricopa and 285K total in the state. So Trump needs to win the rest by about a 20% margin to get near Biden and higher to take a lead. He won the last batch in Maricopa by 14%.

Not sure where the other 85K are.

Thanks. Those AZ votes made me nervous but the experts seem to be saying Trump needed a bigger margin on that drop.

I'm absolutely shocked by how surprised my rural Ohio friends are at Trump losing. It really just never entered their thoughts that Trump could lose. Even after all of the polls and 2018, they were totally convinced Trump would win easily.
