Thanks Noop

From my experience, these issues get worse as the person gets tired. I wouldn't be surprised if it's as simple as that.

I wonder if Jerry Jones has started taking bids for the sculpting commission yet?

I think Bama started celebrating at halftime and they forgot they still had thirty minutes of football left. If I am Saban I am concerned whether or not my team can kick it up a notch especially since they have been playing conservative the entire second half. If they are going to win this championship they are going to need one of those clock draining drives in order to ice the game.

Yeah but Brent's notoriously fickle, depending upon whomever he's watching at the time. He's like a drunk 20 year old at a nude beach.

I don't know that the players have been responsible so much as the coaching staff. Kirby Smart will go from genius to WTF in a hurry in they let this get away and Saban will suddenly look extremely human. From kickoff the coaching decisions for Alabama have seemed to come from a staff that was scared shitless of the stage they were on. That's bizarro but that's what it's seemed like to me.

I wasn't the blaming the players but I was wondering if they would be able to kick it up a notch after being so laxed. Some of the decisions this game by Saban is very unlike him...

Actually Texas is covering very well and has an excellent game-plan put in place by a Saban disciple, Will Muschamp. The combo zone blitz and the cover 3 free are things of beauty and besides Alabama, Texas runs it the best I've ever seen.

Ok, they called a timeout after 2nd down... but why not after 1st?

A. They score the TD, you need lots os time to score twice
B. They don't score a TD, and get a FG... you would still rather be in control of the clock while driving for the game winning TD.

Good game though! and the Heisman winner actually had a good bowl game! (this rarely happens) 120 yards or so, 5 + ypc and 2 tds.
