I hope you are right.

Hard to believe we went for two skill guys on day 1, as we needed depth along both lines. Still, I think those were the best available on each pick, and big WR was a need.

Ben should be happy.

I don't mind the Bears draft so far. I thought they'd go Otah instead of Williams, but both are rated about the same with Willimas being a better LT, so that's kool. Forte in the second is a bit of a stretch, but the times I saw Forte last year, he looked good. But, if they take a QB there, then grab Choice out of GT or Smith out of UCF, I would've been just as happy. And personally, I was hoping they'd wait until late and take Omon from NW Missouri State (yeah, homer pick there).

Another year in school for Rice and he would've come to the NFL with 1300 carries under his belt. Translation - 4th round.

Man, it's exciting to watch the Chiefs have such a great draft so far...we've had such miserable seasons of late that this is giving me a lot of hope for the future.

That should put some pressure on teams to trade up to make sure they get Henne if they want one of the top 4 QB's.

The Lions, Bears, and Vikes all should be ashamed of themselves. I hope Brohm torches them all for the next 10 years, and then the packers lose in the first round.

Good value for GB and it kind of balances out the value for Nelson, in my opinion (ie: if they were taken in one another's spots, the value would seem about right).

Still, if you are going with Rodgers, get him some help instead of a backup/competition. If GB is in "win now" mode, this is an odd pick.

Not sure what to think on this one. In any case, Brohm is a very good player.

Damn, Miami took Chad Henne. I was hoping the Packers could get him as well with the 60th pick.

Ted has said GB always goes BPA. All GB needs from this draft is backups, so if you can get a potential franchise guy and hedge your bets with Rodgers, you have to take it.

Thinking it over, Green Bay taking Brohm keeps him from going to the Vikes/Lions/Bears. Apparently, there are not a lot of top QBs expected to be in next year's draft, so, in addition to being a good insurance move, it was a great cockblock move.

I kind of hope the Packers get Steve Slaton in the 3rd or 4th.

If he realizes that he is a 185-lb back, instead of a 200-lb back, he could be a good compliment to Grant this year and have a chance to become a starter in coming seasons.

Ted, McCarthy, you, and I could tell that to people until they are dead and they would still have the reaction they are having now. "Rodgers is screwed. Packers must be worried about Rodgers to make this pick." blah blah blah. They will think what they want to think.....

After Brohm, Quinn, and Leinart all fell as seniors, Stafford, McCoy and Tebow will almost certainly come out, possibly Dirty Sanchez if he has a good year, also the Missouri kid. I think it will be better than this years class.

Now it's time for DBs. I would love for GB to get CB/S Reggie Smith from Oklahoma. I think he'll be a nice fit as the nickel corner who can tackle.

Another good thing about the Brohm pick is, it should close the door on all the Favre comming back crap. Now that the PAckers have a real backup QB Favre can be officially be put out to pasture.

I would like a DB, but wouldn't be surprised to see it come up as OL or DL.
