Good question Joe Gibbs Jr. I think it is time that the commish starts to enforce the forfeit rules. I have been waiting for 3 weeks to play my last game not because Raven hasn't been available, but because I have been waiting for others to play. So what is the word guys?

I have a proposal. Let's just end the season giving the #1 and #2 playoff births (the only team that would benefit from this is the Patriots/Big DPW, because he hasn't clinched playoff birth yet). Then the rest of the teams in each conference play a tournament for the last playoff spot. This is what it would look like:
AFC- Miami at Colts winner plays Titans winner plays the Patriots in the playoffs. Winner plays Chargers in AFC championship.

NFC- Chiefs at Bears winner plays Jets winner plays Redskins in the playoffs. Winner plays Saints in NFC championship.
Then the two championship teams for the FML championship.

This way we can finish the season and it wouldn't of been a waste of time. What do you all think? Let's vote.

I say we just take our 8 playoff teams and set up a standard bracket.

With the brackets I proposed it makes the regular season mean something. Whereas, doing a regular 8 team bracket means the regular season meant nothing and that we wasted our time. Also, only 3 teams from each division is in the playoffs. This way there is a tournament for the last spot in. Lastly, we have 10 total teams not 8.

Very good plan, format, and idea Coachtd7. Fellas let's do this. I'm not trying to have played all these league games for nothing. So let's get a vote going or something. Coach we've already spoke so I know we're both in. Vince sounds like he's fine with it. I'd assume JoeGibbsjr (just an assumption) will be cool with it. So let's go from there.

8 team playoff brackets doesnt mean that regular season was meaningless. It means 4 teams have been eliminated from the playoffs.

AFC- Miami at Colts winner plays Titans winner plays the Patriots in the playoffs. Winner plays Chargers in AFC championship.

The problem I have with this is The Colts or Dophins have to win 3 games just to get an opportunity to play you for the Championship. Titans have to win 2 games just to play you, and the Patriots have to win one game to play you.

In the NFL, you get a first round bye, not a bye all the way through to the Championship game. That just doesn't make much sense to me. I say just eliminate the bye and use the standings as seeds.

I suggest we go with 8 team playoffs. In the AFC Titans will play Patriots, and the Mia/Ind winner will play the Chargers. The two winners square off for the AFC Championship game. Same thing goes for the NFC. Bears play Saints, and Jets play Redskins.

First of all an 8 team playoff would only eliminate 2 teams since there are only 10 active teams. Second of all it was decided during the season that 3 teams from each conference would make the playoffs. Third since no one is playing any games we should call the regular season over and give the bottom 3 teams in each conference a chance to get the last playoff spot in their conferences. Fourth this is not the NFL if it was we would of finished our season according to the time table set forth. That was we were to play 2 games every week. Also, in the NFL only 42% of the teams in the league get into the playoffs not the 50% over in our league (6/10 or 6/12). Fifth with your idea of 8 teams it punishes those who clinched a playoff birth/ bye in the playoffs and those who are last in their conferences, who might of moved up in the standings. Six the Colts, Dolphins, Chiefs, and Bears would of had to win at least 3 if not more to get into the playoffs. Moreover, the Jets and Titans had not clinched a playoff birth yet and they would of had to win at least 2 games if not more to do so. This way they have a better opportunity to get in they only have to win one game. Therefore, my proposal punishes no team and makes the regular season, standings, and previously decide playoff format mean something.

Sorry guys. I have been out of town and away from computers since 3/27 for family reasons. I'm sorry that things fell by the wayside in the meantime. After work tonight, I will try to figure out just how many games are left unplayed from the regular season. If at all possible, I would like to play those games and have a legitimate finish to the season. If that means handing out forfeits for any games left unplayed after this week, then that's what we'll do. I know I have to play Vince and Raven, and if you too are available, let me know.

Again, I haven't looked back to see how many games are unplayed, so we may end up going with CoachTD's plan. But I want to look into finishing the regular season and what that would take before we go with his plan. Please bear with me until tonight, and we'll go from there. My apologies to CoachTD and others who have been forced to wait, and we'll see if we can get this season finished one way or another soon.

Below are the remaining unplayed games. My solution to the current debate is this. Any game that is not reported by the time I get to work next Monday (4/14, 10 am CST) will result in a forfeit for both teams involved. Please post in this thread when you would like to play your opponent. If one player tries to arrange a game and the other does not (as evidenced by no replies in this thread), then the guy who tried receives a forfeit victory and the guy who did not gets a forfeit. If both guys post here, but the game does not get played anyhow, then both players get forfeits, unless one player is clearly at fault (as judged by the Commish). Monday night, I will figure out who has made the playoffs using our previously-posted tiebreakers if necessary.

I hate to do it guys, but like Chuck, I'm going to have to bow out. Although I can make the time to play, the lag is really what's killing me. I've asked around, and looked online, and can find no logical reason why my game gets so much lag. I tried a game or two over Spring Break while bypassing my hub, and I still had the same ridiculous lag as I did against CoachTD in our last game. It's just not fun to play that way. I'm sorry guys
