Hey jb, if you're picking up an Action Replay you probably want to grab a memory card also. If I remember correctly the memory card that comes with AR is pretty crappy and doesn't always work well...

Does anybody know if Gamestop is doing any trade-in offers? Or is it just EB?

Dola, YMMV, but mine has lasted fine over the course of a few years. I think its just a regular Xbox memory card you would find elsewhere anyway?

You need 1 memory card (1 does come with it) to physically transfer the files from the action replay (which connects to your computer where you downloaded the roster file) to your Xbox harddrive.

I heard they changed vendors on the memory card and they're much better if you buy one now (vs. say a year ago). YMMV.

well no luck.

i ask for the Manager at customer service desk. he came over and i shook his hand. i said that a pretty cool tie.

i then ask if he has Ncaa 2006 for the xbox to sell. he said let me walk you to the video game department.

once i got there he ask on of the employee there, we are looking for NCAA 2006. the employee told him we have them in stock but the street date is July 12.

i ask the manager if there a way i can get a copy of it and i plannign to buy the xbox system too because i wil be gone on vacation in Europe (cough cough) on July 11.

The employee spoke up and said but we not suppose to break the street date.

The manager supported his employee and said he is right we are not allow to break the street date. i am so sorry.

if you want i can hold one for you when you get back on vacation.

so no luck. i did get the xbox and action replay for it.

now i just goto the other best buy store by me on tuesday to get the game.

There's a a restaurant in Ruston that goes by that name, and it's some damn good stuff. And if you ever happen to be there, ask for a LARGE Jack & Coke. The thing comes in like a 20oz glass, and according to my bro-in-law, it's STRONG. And it only costs like $6.

Other than that, though, I can't really think of any reason to travel to Ruston...

I ended up going to almost every reasonable place in New Orleans today, and I still didn't find it. I'll just have to keep occupied some other way tomorrow. Monday will be easier since I'll be at work, and then I'll leave to go pick up the game around 11pm Monday night. Sunday will be the difficult day for me.

I didn't go looking today since I'm on call and can't, but I agree that tomorrow is going to be the rough day. Monday, I'll work til 5 or so and take a nap after work. Oh well, I guess it is back to my FM dynasty to help keep me occupied

If anyone has a ps2 and wants the named rosters done by Blacklover (great job BL as usual), PM me if you don't have a way to get them and we'll set something up like sending me your memory card.

I will say the AR Max is very easy in terms of copying the rosters and transferring them to the ps2.

The last two nights, Friday at the bar and Saturday at our Alumni Baseball game this NCAA 2006 has been a huge topic amongst quite a few conversations. I'm thinking I should have probably preordered it, I may have trouble finding it for a while around here.

See the other thread about simulated QB stats. So far, that is the biggest glitch I've heard of.

Yeah, and the glitch is mainly in terms of QB completion %'s, not so much total yards. Not enough INT's though.

Well, sometimes stores, especially ones that do not cater primarily to video games, may not get a new release in until the day it is supposed to be released, or later. So it would not be on the shelves right away. Maybe they are doing this just so people consider it as an alternative to EB/Best Buy if they want to purchase it right when its released. Also figure, 8 a.m. is two hours earlier than most stores open on a Tuesday.

Is the EBGames you are getting it from in a mall? If it is, they have to pay the mall to stay open later, and it's probably not justifiable for a single game.

My EBX still hasn't called me yet.

Dola - At least at this point, the store Pumpy is getting it from IS in a mall and it is supposed to be open for a midnight sale.

Called my Gamestop - they have it and they are opening at midnight on Mon Eve/Tues morn. Btw, they're in a strip mall, so no mall hours to deal with.

Well, I went out to get some food and decided to stop by my local EB games (which is 2 minutes from where I live) and it turns out my store cancelled the sale because "the security guard we were going to have here can't make it." Apparently, they can't get a replacement security guard, and the manager doesn't want them open without a security guard present. I agree with that sentiment, but find it difficult to imagine that they couldn't find a replacement security guard. Oh well, I've waited this long, so waiting 8 hours longer isn't a big deal.

I bought it on the day of release, and most of the previews didn't mention the dropped passes.
