Can anyone else not stand when the announcers bitch about the reffing? Let us be the judge of that. I hate nothing more than an announcer whining. CBS seems to always do this in college basketball. Is that Packer doing the color?

Illinois had three wide open threes to take the lead. All of them were off. I think the fatigue has taken it's toll a little bit. They gotta suck it up and make a play now.

I think you are exactly right. UNC is tired on D but Illinois is just as tired shooting the 3s.

At least we don't have to hear about Roy not winning a title anymore. One less story for CBS and all the rest to talk about non-stop.

Great, great game.

Illinois just couldn't overcome that first half. I knew they'd have to play at a furious pace to make the comeback and I questioned all along if they could sustain it. I have a feeling if they replayed the game tomorrow, Illinois would take it. That first half just killed them.

What a killer three that was from Felton.

Terrific game. Both teams should walk out with their heads held high.

May is Mr Consistancy, but Felton is soooo far and away the most important player on the team, he's hit clutch shots all year long.

Illinois likely wins 6 out of 10, Illinois never fails to show up totally... UNC does sometime, great to see the two best teams in the country come down to the wire.

North Carolina, national champions. God damn that looks good in print

Great game. It was a win-win for me as I like both teams, NC a little more.. but I bet my bracket on Illinios.

Makes you want to fire up FBCB.. in fact good idea.

I'll take it

I have a good friend who is a Duke fan, he told me he was rooting for North Carolina but then spent about 5 minutes rationalizing how it was ok and he promises he still hates them and if they lose he really won't be sad.

That's probably all the love I'd be giving to my triangle brethern as well.

Great game.

Something about Bruce Weber jumping up and down and stepping onto the court bothers me though. I would have given a lot to see Felton speed up the court directly into him one of the times when he was about three feet inside the lines.

at the risk of the above looking like me being sore, I would like to say for the record "GO TO HELL..."

Nah, just kidding

Illinois didn't have an answer for Fat Bastard(tm) May...that kid played his ass off. My boys played their hearts out (I have serious man-love for Jack Ingram), but UNC was too much and Augustine was too not-a-factor-in-the-most-useless-I-don't-think-he-even-sweat-in-his-uniform kind of way.

Congrats to UNC, congrats to my boys 'round the Illini way.

Weber goes farther onto the court during play and on a more consistent basis than any coach I've seen. Or maybe he was just more noticeable tonight because of that hideous jacket.

Seriously, your team played a great game and had a great season. Not a shot at them.

And even with your smiley in the next post, I'm hoping you would have completed that "Go to Hell Carolina, Go to hell" and not something more personal.

Did you see Pitino Saturday? I wish the coach's box would be enforced too...but you're way off base picking on Bruce.

Well...just got back from St. Louis.

Great game. I thought the Illini played with alot of heart, but the lack of any offense inside was the difference. I think we should have at least attempted to take the ball into May, but I can only remember one successful drive.

Great teams, great year, but I'm disappointed...congrats UNC on a great game.

Dola,

McCants is a punk. After the game Deron Williams went to congratulate him and McCants shoved him away and started to fool around with his jersey. Everyone else was respectful, but that just pissed me off bigtime.
