Those things are not 100% correct. Couldn't it mean Mister Eko too, which is the same thing as Mr. Echo? Phonetically the same thing. I'm sure that is not his real name anyway. We'll find out soon enough.

If we're squabbling about "Mister Echo" versus "Mistereko" ... Ana referend to him as "Echo" in this episode one time.

why have a backstory of Shannon crossing with Jack, if there plan was to kill off shannon.
it makes no sense, if there not going to continue with it. |

There's been numerous instances of people appearing in other people's flashbacks throughout the show. So far there's been no follow up to any of them. It just sorta suggests that they're all related somehow. Edit - except for possibly Sawyer telling Jack about his dad. Last edited by moriarty : 11-10-2005 at 07:15 PM. |

Did anyone else also notice that Sayid never retrieved his gun when he set it down in the tent?

what going to happen is Jack wil have a decision to make. to save Sawyer or Shannon from dying.
that what he had to do between Shannon Dad and the Girl (finance). so again jack wil have a decision who to save. |

just watched some of the key scenes again with the wife. you hear the shot, see Shannon stumbling back to Sayid, then see Ana with the gun using her angry-sad face, and THEN you see Mike and Jin coming up the path. so they wouldn't have been there when Shannon ran up to the group, or when Ana pointed the gun. someone on the Lost site (those dorks make us look almost cool) said that it wasn't raining on the tail group, but that's not correct. it definitely was raining. they've also got this whole right-handed, left-handed killer thing which doesn't work either.

nice idea, that would only work, IMO, if he decided to save Shannon (ying and yang) and I don't think they would kill Sawyer. plus, they've already made him choose once - between working on Boone and helping Claire.

speaking of Boone, was it just me, or did he look just like Rob Lowe in the flashbacks last night? was he filming a biopic somewhere? (actually, he's filming something right now in Peterborough, NH).

Agreed. She's an incredibly annoying one-note character. I am hoping that after she kills Shannon she'll drop the attitude. I am also hoping that her character will be given more depth and we'll be at least somewhat sympathetic to her after we see what happened to the tailies in the next ep.

I assume this is the case...except that they already did this same thing with Sawyer. heck, they even had him shoot the damn marshall. not really all that confident that Michelle Rodriguez could pull off additional depth anyway.

They did. Anna Lucia wasn't nearly this annoying in her minor appearance in the first season in one of Jack's flashbacks. She was fine. A bit sassy and with some attitude, but nothing like we've seen thus far.

I was going to say the same thing as Draft Dodger. Michelle Rodriguez really has nothing beyond the whole "I'm an angry Latina woman". It works for her and she occassionally looks hot doing it, but it wears thin. I was tired of it by the end of The Fast and the Furious, and she was all I disliked about SWAT. The only emotion she has is that half-smirk thing she does.
That being said, anyone notice him calling her DeSoto the other day. Her last name is Cortez. Sawyer is by far my favorite character on the show. And yeah, was thinking of the "will Jack save Shannon or Sawyer?" I say he'd save Sawyer, if only because Kate would make him. Jack might as well finish off the family. But maybe this will lead to the split that's been rumored. Sayid will split from Jack and Locke will follow Sayid, Charlie will stay with Jack, Claire will be in the middle... it's all leading to something. |

I think it has to have some relevance. There is not too much in this show that occurs in a scene by happenstance. I absolutely think there was a reason that they made a point of him stating, "I don't need this on me all the time" or whatever similar phrase he said. We'll see but I bet 2-3 episodes from now we'll be like, "That's right he left the gun."

Ok, so people are now looking at the wound Shannon had and examining it very closely. There are screen caps everywhere on the internet and fanatics are now saying that it is too big of a wound when looked at closely to resemble a GSW. It looks like a stab wound. So maybe she was stabbed and AL took a shot at whomever was stabbing her?
Also, I think JB mentioned something about Mr. Ecko being a native on the island. Is it possible, that yes, he wasn't on that plane at all, but he was in a plane crash. Remember the plane that crashed that Boone and Locke found? Wasn't it some Nigerian drug smuggling plane?

Guys, the character is dead. This was not a planned plot device, but Maggie Grace wanted off the show, so they worked it in. This has been known for months (the Maggie Grace part).

I wasn't debating that she is dead, but the fact of how she died.(Stab or GSW)

Oh, i think the Caruso move was still a terrible ones. He had some lean years in there when he expected to be a supestar. This girl has even less upside, IMHO. I wouldn't be surprised if I never see her again in a movie or TV show i watch. She'll probably not get a lot of gigs she auditions for, then end up playing a character on a daytime soap opera for 10 years. |

I was tired making words with them and found on interesting one. murids It might have been luck but it kinda of fits with the show.
