Although personally, I'm not picky about where I bowl, and this was mostly a social thing anyway, where I spent a couple hours hanging out, then bowled like one game. Can't believe that after bowling in Pittsburgh and thinking, "Pittsburgh....bowling....Pumpy!" that it's a place you actually bowl.

I just started there a couple of weeks ago. I'd never been there before. I showed up for the first night with my three-ball rolling bag and encountered the huge flight of stairs entering the place. That was a nightmare. I now bring a two-ball shoulder bag with me because of all the stairs. Seriously, what bowling center requires you to walk up 20 steps to go in? Ridiculous.

8th grade geography sure has changed since I was a kid ... I was not prepared for a detailed look at Malthusian principles when I asked my 13 y/o what he was on the tomorrow's test he was studying for.

I confess that sometimes when I'm bored at work, I look through our companies employee directory and see how many names I can make inappropriate comments about. For instance, someone here has the first name of Dong.

Yes, kindergarten humor takes over sometimes.

A couple of things here:

1) Insulin is some nasty tasting stuff.

2) Don't bite your nails after prepping the kitty's insulin shot. Apparently even reasonably thorough handwashing can miss a spot.

Both of them absolutely trigger my gag reflex.

Pondering the slogan for this year's Math Bowl team I coach. Really like the snorg tee one that says "Dear Math, I am not a therapist. Solve your own problems." This year's theme is problem solving and it fits. Just wondering if I get parent complaints because of the therapist bit. A few years back I went with "We have problems" on the front and on the back it was "to solve" That went over pretty well.

I think it would be great if John Paul II chose the name John Paul because John Paul George & Ringo would have been seen as a bit inappropriate for a pope.

We actually have pretty crazy check cashing laws in PA, which reduces the cash4gold type places.

Since I have the NHL Center Ice Package, I end up watching quite a few local Fox Sports broadcasts. There are certain aspects to each local broadcast that are the same across the board, certain graphics and the like. One thing also appears to be the "Fox Sports Girls (or Girl)".

Based on a limited sample size to date, Detroit has the hottest Fox Sports Girls out there.

I have two solutions which may work out to your benefit.

1. Shirts can be taken off
2. Personally (for me at least) I could care less about college sports, so I see no problem with either.

It tastes no different than Squirt to me...it's just a different color, right? I refuse to believe that some version of Squirt is too sophisticated for my palate.

There is definitely a difference in taste. I hoard this stuff whenever I find it, as it's a bit of a rarity here.

Amazon is awesome....I probably give them TOO MUCH support. I'm almost considering buying most of my non-perishable groceries from them....you have to do a lot of focused comparison shopping to figure out what's a good deal and what isn't, but once I take that step I'll pretty much be enslaved to the big A.

Yes. Over the holidays we joined the "Amazon Prime" thing and it's made Amazon an even far greater evil. Just too easy to find something, click on it and know that it's going to be at your frontdoor, no delivery costs, in 2 days. Want it next day? $4. Scary.

Lady H_B and I looked back at our Amazon spending last year... It was terrifying.

Just signed up for Amazon prime as well. Somehow I managed to pick items that weren't Amazon prime eligible. Still, not a complaint though, just picked some DVDs that were too obscure I guess.

Yeah, I just bought 3 twin beds for my kids, a new coffee table and end tables, a new desk, a new dining table set and a new desk. I didn't pay anything for shipping on most of the items thanks to Prime.

My wife and I paid $79 for Amazon Prime, and we think we got plenty of value out of it... unless you're saying that there's a way to get it without paying that much, then I'll just feel like a dumb git.

Though I love Amazon, my cheap ass can't comprehend paying for Amazon Prime, even though it would probably easily pay for itself in the first month. Instead I pretty much only buy stuff that ships for free with a $25 total.

They would probably assume she's a student given that she looks young and has pink hair. My understanding is that the word "FACULTY" is pretty prominent on her ID, though. I haven't seen it.

We've got Amazon Mom, which is free, and you don't need to be a mother for it. We get the shipping deals that come with Amazon Prime, though we don't get the videos. Going to their site, it looks like there aren't open spots, so you can join the waiting list. I can't really tell from the site, but from what I understand, the only stipulation is that you have to have a periodic automatic delivery set up -- we have some for diapers, baby wipes, and diaper genie refills, but I think (though I'm not sure) that it could be anything.
