Alright I signed with Patriot Records, Franklin....now, do I get $50,000 for every album? does that include $50,000 for each single, too? I'm just not sure how much cash I should be spending on each recording....

Yep, you get $50k for each recording - single or album. Spend all of it. And it's best to go over and spend some of your own cash, if you can. The more you put into it, the more you get out of it. Remember, you have to pay the label back the $50k out of your sales before you see any money, so you want to release a pretty good number of records. |

Unstuck...
Maximum Appeal is looking to re-up with Front Office Records. We've risen to new heights with our label, including our first top 40 single. We'd like to continue to build with strong label support... |

Well, just thought that I would do a little Kleft update...
In a few months I'll record my 2nd album with the number one rated label, Thug Life Productionz. My newest single, Oasis sold over 500,000 copies in its first month. I'm also part of the Mavapalooza lineup. Things are going well |

Both of my bands, PTSH and Redkem, are on the main stage at Mavapalooza. I'm not sure how it works though, cause its not taking up time on the schedule screen, I wonder if it has any real impact on the bands. It may just be for show?

I'm sorry to say that this first year it will just be for pride (and mysteriously takes 0 days out of the schedule). I implemented the festival because I wanted a cool new feature, but didn't give myself much time to make it very robust. I will expand on this for the next festivals. My goal is that by the time the next mavapalooza rolls around, gate receipts will be added. I did design it in such a way as to make adding other festivals (i.e. genre specific) easy to add. Next up my own personal wish list item: Metal Maven 2009! |

Too Bad Bruthaz do it again, fool. Their fourth album, entitled Fo' Pennies, is the #2-seller overall for the month. This monster success went Gold in its very first month on the market. More importantly, it penetrated the hearts and minds of hundreds of thousands of America's youth with criminal old-school gangsta stories, fly slammin' chest-thumping dope beats, and the filthiest langauge possible. We recommend that all who purchased Fo' Pennies should play it at maximum volume, preferably in a residential area.

I think the genre you pick has as much to do with your success in this game as anything... however, I would be interested in any strategy tips you guys might have to share - my teen pop band seems to be underperforming... time to audition new musicians, perhaps?

Ive found that even writing good songs, and even highly rated singles, you still just need some quantity to get high sales. Each record I have made has increased in sales, so just keep popping them out.

Always promote. Especially when you release an album or record, but once you have enough money, promote every month.

Question?
I checked the MM forum but couldn't find anything concerning rest and what abilities are improved upon. Some are fairly obvious but others aren't so. Secondly, does anyone noticed that when the game is stuck, it's stuck on rest, and that you can usually alter your days rest to the maximum? |

Fuck. Game's still stuck. I probably won't be online tonight, which means I'll have another wasted month.
Maybe this game can be programmed for an automatic default schedule - like, if you're not online for a daily update, it automatically sends you on a 14 day tour, ten days of practice, and the remainder in general rest or something. |
