I think people at my work are reading FOFC. I've posted here about how I have trouble talking to blondes, and now it seems like every blonde in the building is coming to talk to me just to see how I react.

They do realize that if I practice enough, I'll get better, right? And they also realize that once I get better, they'll be touching themselves and quivering passionately in the corner every time I pass by, just like the brunettes and redheads, right? Even the bald chick gets a little too happy whenever she sees me.

This really isn't going to end well for anybody.

They aren't reading FOFC. We sent out a memo.

A guy I work with just dropped off a plate of Bagel Bites at my desk. He didn't ask for anything in return. I have a feeling, that 20 years from now, he'll come out of nowhere asking for a favor...

Screw it. I'm eating them anyway.

I had a guy do that to me at work one time. I don't want to spoil the surprise for you, but I hope you like the taste of pineapple.

If there's spiced rum involved...I'm all in, like I was at the WSOP.

I don't know if I am crazy or what....Heading to Maine to see my sister and her new place of work and home, spending Thanksgiving with her since our other passed away.

But me, my 3 kids, my girlfriend and a 9 hour drive....I will let you know if I need a shot or three when I get to the hotel tomorrow night.

Bought a 5 quart Crock Pot slow cooker that was on clearance for $19 at Big Lots tonight. Going to try Sunshine Chicken tomorrow. This is a pretty monumental event, as I have no cooking ability whatsoever and this is a step towards my eating healthier.

For five more minutes, yeah. At least my day job. Weekend starts then.

Unfortunately, my night job (which I work tonight) is a service indutry job, and I will be working three shifts this weekend, including Thanksgiving.

But, hey, I get to sleep in.

Even though you can't find them anywhere anymore, I still find that when I encounter Krispy Kreme doughnuts, such as on the day before Thanksgiving when everyone and their mother shows up at the office with food, I consume said doughnuts like crack.

Every time I see on ESPN that some pro athlete has had surgery on a joint/body part that I've had surgery on or have injured, I read the article to see if the athlete has visited my surgeon.

My ankle surgeon and my hand surgeon are mentioned quite often...

Nice! Still have an hour and a half to go and don't have to be back until Monday morning.

Hopefully you will get time off for Christmas or New Years. However, sleep is always a good thing though.

I've heard of Saco, just don't remember exactly where it is. All I remember of Maine (I was up in the Limestone area), is that if it isn't snowing, it's raining. And I did a lot of drinking.

South of Portland.

We're known as "Sunny Saco, Maine." It's a lie.

We made it to Maine...9 hour drive turned into 10 because my 6 year decided to have the bladder control of a 90 yr old man and we hit several plaza's in MA.

Kids were great for most of the ride so it wasn't bad. Our rental has Sat radio so I was listening to Blue Collar Comedy most of the ride

Damn, a Buffalo-to-Maine Thanksgiving road trip with kids? I hope you don't have to do that annually.

No, my sister has to work tomorrow so she wasn't able to head to Vegas or Memphis for Thanksgiving, so I figured I would bring the kids and the girlfriend to Maine and see her and make it a good holiday.

It has been great so far, the Residence Inn we are staying in has a pool and the kids are happy because we can go swimming every evening.

Someone tried to use my credit card in Australia today and got the expiration date wrong (first time someone's tried to use my CC number). So now my credit card is canceled and I'm getting a new one in 5-7 days. So yeah......that was my totally awesome event for the day.

So, I haven't been in accident since 1995. In the past 5 years at my last job I drove all over the US racking up thousands and thousands of miles in rentals and tons of hours of drive time.

In fact, I drove to Maine and back this past week. This morning, I get into a small accident on my way to work. Some jack ass decided he wanted to turn right from the left hand lane.

Car is scraped on the bumper. No injures at all. I was more pissed at him for being a jack ass.

Say what you will about Facebook (Lord knows I have) but the number of people that I genuinely value that it has helped return to my life is astonishing.

Anytime I hear about the USPS being broke and not getting enough support, I'll remember how shitty my service is here in Chicago and how no one in my neighborhood will get anything of importance sent by them any longer. They've now lost 3 important letters and claimed to have delivered a package that wasn't in the last 2 months.

The State of California sent me a letter apologizing for the delay in sending me another letter I requested.

Seriously.

I've never understood USPS commercials.

I understand UPS, FedEx, etc exist. But, for regular mailing, what is the other option? I've never sat around thinking "How will I ever get this Christmas card to Uncle Joe?", and then see a USPS commercial and wonder why I didn't think of the post office earlier.

It's largely suggestive sale I think. The question, increasingly for a number of years now, is not where you're going to mail X but if you're going to mail X.

There's other stuff in there of course, including hyping deadlines & early shipping in order to avoid losing the sales opportunity for people who think "it's already too late" or "we'll just give it to them when we see them in February" but I think a lot of what isn't "we also do 1/2/3 day delivery" is mostly trying to prompt you to send something at all rather than to influence whether you send it through the postal service.

I'm all for the demise of the USPS if it will finally stop all the junk mail. I have a conspiracy theory that the USPS and the junk mail people are in collusion with each other to keep them both afloat.

I don't know if this is a new trend, but I'm seeing a number of women on Facebook using only their first and middle names on their profile, like "Lindsay Marie" for example. Whenever I see that, I think they're trying to become internet porn models or something. Maybe I'll start doing that shit since I actually am trying to become an internet porn model.
