I officially hate the cold/flu season. Up at 4:00. Think I'm taking a 1/2 day today just to sleep.

How do you know when it's bedtime at the Sandusky household? When the big hand's on the little hand!

OK - I'm really sorry ...

When did people start saying "Save the date" when inviting people to something? I never heard that phrase until about three months ago. I'm tired of people putting new phrases in my head.

That's like a scene from a movie Kristin, unfortunately probably one starring Ben Stiller.

Damn right. I liked my world the way it was, and now people are messing with it. Next thing you know, they'll start letting one-armed people work at the cinema.

His post isn't marked 1994, so I think the implication is clear. His post also wasn't edited to say "Did I say Tori Spelling? My mistake, she's horrible. I meant Bar Raefeli."

I've had significant facial hair (has varied between a beard, touching-my-chest goatee, moustache+goatee) since freshman year of college, or maybe even senior year of HS.

I shaved it off completely this morning. I feel face-naked. It's freaking weird. We'll see if I like it.

Whenever I had a beard for a long time and then shaved I felt like my chin was freakishly small when I looked in a mirror.

Exactly. With all the weight I've lost though I wanted to give this look a little try and see how I feel about it.

This.

I carry a beard 11 months out of the year and a moustache in November.

I've had a beard for the better part of the last 4, maybe 5 years. I hate looking at myself after I've shaved. It reminds me why I grew a beard to begin with. And then shaving every day reinforces it.

I realized yesterday that very few people actually call me "Kristin." At work, it's typically "KP" or "Pilotte." Online it's "tk."

Weird.

Love the shot where the Bengals' Simpson catches the deep ball, and a few of the Vikings' cheerleaders start waving their little pom-poms. How does a race that produces Einstein, etc. also produce such brain-dead morons? These are the questions I need answered ...

So, I saw a very serious article on two CIA spy rings which were apparently uncovered, one in Lebanon and one in Iran. While overall the article is on a very serious and touchy situation, I was struck by the absurdity of this line in the middle of it all:

A current US official denied that CIA officers met their agents at Pizza Hut.

Last winter, I did some cigarette research for work (one of my clients is a tobacco company). My research consisted of walking into several stores, asking "What is the cheapest brand of cigarettes you have?", and then walking out out of the stores. The clerk at every one of those stores looked at me like I had three heads, leading me to wonder if my behavior was strange or if I perhaps had three heads.

Edit to add: They might not have looked at me funny if I had at least waited for them to answer my question.
