In both my pools i'm in real good shape. In fact, if things shake out perfectly in the final 4, the championship game is irrelevant. I need Louisville and Michigan State to pull it out!

I'm in the same boat with jay...oh, so close to getting all four Final Four teams right. It's a shame that Kentucky looked so utterly wretched during that last possession in that first overtime. (That's been a disturbing trend the last couple of days, it seems...dribble, dribble, dribble...oh #$(*! What do I do now?!) I coulda been a contender...at least on Yahoo (I had gotten all the way up to #251).

Missed out on this thread since I was at the inlaws for easter... finally caught up via tivo.. GO UNC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't imagine the final four can be more exciting than the 4 games from the last two days, an amazing weekend of basketball. Thank god UNC didn't go to overtime along w/ the other 3 games or I probably would have had a heart attack.

GL Schmidty to MSU next weekend, should be a good game, MSU is playing very good right now.

I said that the first time I saw the side-angle replay, but I reversed myself when I saw the super-blown-up version. As it turns out, though, it doesn't matter, aside from giving us ten more minutes of basketball to watch.

Similarly to several others, Kentucky was my last Final Four team in my only bracket that's actually doing well.

I think the Illinois Louisville game will be the best one of the Final Four. I'm excited to see that one as both teams are playing very well right now.

I had Arizona over Kentucky in the final...so not the best Elite 8 weekend for my bracket. Great games, certainly some questionable officating (Villanova travel call, last 4 minutes of Ariz/Ill) but unlike the first weekend, this one was spectacular. Now I'm just hoping for great games.

On a random note, does anyone know the name of the 80's/Strip-Club-esque song with the "Whoa, yeah!" CBS keeps using?

It's OK, you'll just have to watch the dismantling of Louisville by the Illini in person now.

Oddly, any combination of teams meeting up in the title game would not be a suprise.

Sorry, meant he's 23 years her senior

Lute's approaching 70 and I think she's in her 40s.

Final Four tonight, I am so jacked up for this, I can hardly sit still. Thankfully I'm at work, so i can mostly keep my mind occupied. I've been waiting for this night since the Michigan game in 1989. It's the Illini's turn now. I read this on another board, and thought it was cool enough to share:
Three men are playing a game. Another man comes in and screams " the world is coming to an end!!" One man gets up, leaves the table saying, I'm going to go pray. The 2nd man gets up and says " I'm going to get a drink". The 3rd man doesn't move, he says "I'm gonna finish the game." Illini basketball.....They're gonna finish the game.

All over, Illinois wins...badly. 72-57. I dont see how they will end...they simply dominated in the 2nd half.

I must join in with CraigSca. Spare us all the obnoxiousness of the frontrunning Wal-Mart alumni wearing Carolina blue. We don't need 'em lording over us anymore than they already are. Go Illini! Besides, my brackets say Illinois should win and I wanna be right for once, dammit!

Do the refs know they can call a charge on Sean May? He's like shaq lowering his shoulder to create space.

Wow. Illinois has not looked like the best team in the country over the last 8 minutes or so.

Terrific steal and assist by May.

Terrible shot selection and time management by Illinois.

I'll be just as happy if either team wins, I'm only pulling for the Illini because it'd be nice to see the dominant team all year finish what they started, but if UNC stays aggressive, Ol' Roy will have his trophy after all...
