Considering the way they just marched down the field there, looks like he doesn't need to. |

So, if the Colts lose a home playoff game, what more can they possibily do next year?

I see a lot of guys with a cheatsheet out there these days. In the 70s, did anybody wear the cheatsheet wristband? I don't remember seeing it in historical footage. I'm inclined to say no, but I'm not sure. I cannot even remember coaches walking the sideline with a cheatsheet. Seems like the players had a lot more autonomy on the field than they do today. |

Of course the Colts are the one team that might be able to pull it out, but will they see the ball more than once?

Hahah. Good question. Hope they can wait until the final week to seal homefield? I wonder how much the suicide of Dungy's son totally disrupted their routines. Not an excuse, but a fact that they all had to deal with nonetheless. |

Geez the Colts just look flat. I think this has its roots from ''sitting'' out the players from week 13-14. That's why I am opposed to sitting players out until the final game.

Does it really have to be so complicated now? It is rather self-serving anyway. Football doesn't have to be that complicated. |

Does anybody else think the best coach in the NFL for the last.. 10 years or so is Bill Cowher? I have never seen a coach more capable of motivating his team. The Steelers (as far as I know) have yet to give up on a game since he started coaching them, and they ALWAYS come ready to bust someone in the mouth.
Alternately, I think Tony Dungy is almost incapable of motivating his teams when they are in pressure situations. Isn't that the reason he ended up with the Colts in the first place? Couldn't win big games in Tampa either.

Yes. The players are so much bigger and faster that it is harder to have success just pounding it, or throwing fly patterns. You have to get players out of position. |

If, as rumored, Dungy retires after this year, I think the Colts should name Peyton Manning head coach. They shouldn't even have been thinking about punting there.
