I think AlanT being killed clears Blade (pains me to say). The wolves obviously are taking the kill the veteran path. The fact that several people have pointed that out leads me to believe they left Blade alone tonight on purpose with the hope that we would lynche him under the assumption that he is still alive. For now I think Blade is clean. Time to look elsewhere.

I am not a fan of all this talk of forcing a tie. It seems to me we are putting to much power in the masons hands and making it to easy for the wolves to hide among us.

I realize that now, I was just speculating as the wolves' motivation, and to why AlanT would be so sure about Schmidty (since it wasn't that he could see he was another mason) |

the problem I have with the tie scenerio is the wolves could sit back and see who the tie comes out to and unless it is one of them they can hide easily by voting for each other.

Well, since you're apparently not a fan of the tie, and I just promoted the merits of one, this isn't surprising. But I'm not sold either way on the tie thing. I think a tie's merits depends on how many players are involved in the tie, and how the mechanics of mason tie breaking actually work, which I still don't know (ie. do all masons vote, or do only the masons invovled in the tie count - I've heard different players assume different methods) |

Sorry I was late guys. I had intended to be here at deadline, but as vets know, Tuesday night was date night and, er, ummm...I was held up by someone if you catch my innuendo.
I see that my suspicion of "kill the vets" has continued.

Could have been a conditional tiebreak vote too, I'd imagine. Then the person wouldn't necessarily have to be around.

i don't. but this is a perfect example of why i wish people would be more transparent with what they're on to. the worst that can happen is you spook a wolf and they change their behavior...if they stay constant you've got em pegged, if they change then we realize they're a wolf. it's like shining a spotlight on a robber...it freezes them. for god's sakes people...if you're working on a theory, even if you think it's bunk...at least post it in the thread so there's some record of it. otherwise what's the point of being on a team? we might as we all be going at it alone! |

Blade is right, ties are not our friends. Remember, the masons just know who the masons are. They don't know who anyone else is. So if there is a tie with a wolf and a villager, they have no additional knowledge than any of the rest of us villagers would (if I understand the role correctly).
You are always far better off voting for who you think is a wolf and trying to get a consensus on that. My current trust list: Some trust -- GoldenEagle, Schmidty Neutral/not sure -- anyone else not listed. Suspicious -- molson, Greyroofoo, Fouts The reason that Alan had me on his suspicion list was because of my vote for Schmidty. Schmidty's response corresponded to something that rang true for Alan and myself after I saw it, and after Alan's response to me I was trusting him also. I don't want to go much further than that, but I think the clue is easy to spot and is why GoldenEagle is on my list as probably good.

I'm not trying to be cryptic, but I would like to be able to clear some other people or at least not have them in the forefront, but if you spell it out too much sometimes a wolf can just jump in and go "oh yeah, me too!"

As for distrust, people i noticed who didnt catch it included Daddytorgo, molson, farrah, and roo. Not sure which are wolves, but its a starting point. I made the question about what alan was after to try and bait a few wolves into trying to earn trust. Only torgo replied before you came out though, and he had no idea

i'm not a wolf, although i realize saying that may be some sort of red-flag or whatever, may make you think i'm just trying to hide it. i'm just spinning in circles trying to figure this whole game out, and apparently I'm not born gifted at it (although hopefully I learn). I'm totally transparent...like I said...lynch me if you want, but it won't do you any good, you'll just be losing a villager. A clueless villager, but one of your number none the less. And maybe when it thins out a bit I will start to notice things and be more useful. At least you know as clueless as I am, if the wolves take me it won't be a loss of someone who has a ton of right-on ideas about what's going on, so in that sense it would be a waste for them. *shrug* |

Well, I wouldn't expect you to come out and say you were a wolf. No worries, for what it's worth it probably took me three or four games before I felt I had some kind of handle as to what was going on. And really, I've played a lot now, but like golf, that doesn't mean that I'm all that good at it.

What I mean is, the length of a pm is a completely seperate factor from its content. Schmidty used it well once as a wolf wouldn't have taken a chance on it, but now, especially after Cronin flagged it, I don't think it means much if people start claiming things. |
