Well, I've been making a map, and each time Abe tells me I go into darker bricks, I draw that on my map. So I (and others) have been calling the lightest bricks level 1, and then the next darker level 2, etc.

Oh, now I understand. Then using your terms, it's on the 3rd level.

Thanks Boberot and it looks like I'm the wimpiest out of all of us along with Qwik. But better to be wimpy and protected by others than not wimpy and dead if I was on my own the wise ones always said.

Well, my kid called in sick, so no work today. I need to study for a mid term Thursday, but should I go do a FBA observation today or stay home until I need to leave to go to class. Hmmm.

Sweet.

Didn't mean to blow your cover, Pass -- I had no idea what the gong would do.

Thom: ringing the bell just got me to Level 5, so I was in the same boat as you this morning.

I would have hoped so too - but no dice.

So we are going to move right today, even though that is to the lighter bricks. It is a new room for us.

I'd like to go there cause I have to think I'm close to levelling and since I'm the likely one to get into combat if there's just one creature, I'd feel safer.

The plain helm and silver needle came from level 1. The entrails of your departed countryman (who attacked me first, I swear!) came from level 3.

So far the whip is fine - haven't gotten a chance to use it yet. I will let you know if we grow apart

I can't because I haven't acquired it yet. Based on the action I'm allowed to take in the room, I'm guessing there's a very good chance it will be added to my inventory. I was also thinking about bypassing the room entirely using the horse figurine I bought yesterday, so if the prestige item was going to be useful to someone I thought I'd give them a chance to convince me not to. Here's the room description:

Quote:
When you enter this room, you are taken back by the smell and sights of an arboreal forest. Pine trees cover the area. You see no monsters. There are a few jars and tree taps, used to collect and make maple syrup. While in here, you may take an action to Tap a Tree.

I may be a 4th level mage, but I've had fun dusting competition in the 2nd level of bricks...it sucked at the start but so far my battle mage setup is doing wonders.

Mages are the best equipped of all the classes to survive the Black level monsters.
