So I'm playing Madden '08 on my computer, and my fullback gashes the C/G gap for a 2 yard first down.

Madden says : "That's what kind of player this guy is. He told his coach 'if you need two yards, I'll get ya two yards'. His coach asked, 'What if I need you to get me 6 yards' ? He said 'I'll get ya two yards'."

I found that fun

Real Steel has maybe the worst ad campaign ever. It's been going on since mid June, IIRC. I'm so fatigued at this point I feel like 2 or 3 sequels have been released. Please make it stop already.

Heh... still a week away from release. And I still have no desire to see it.

It looks horrible this movie. Unspeakable bad. I feel bad because I like Hugh Jackman and it was filmed, at least in part, in Michgian, so I would like it to do well, but it looks like utter crap.

If it was filmed in Michigan, and looks like utter crap, I'm guessing that makes it a good geographic representation of the state.

I can't figure out whether it's trying to hype itself as a bad-ass futuristic boxing movie, or a warm-hearted father-and-son movie. I've seen trailers that lead heavily in each direction, and if the trailers themselves have me confused as to what sort of movie it is, the movie itself will probably be even more confused and meandering.

Maybe it's reboot of this movie: The Champ (1979) - IMDb

From the first time I saw the trailer I couldn't get "Over The Top" out of my mind. It's today's "Over the Top"!

I've come to believe that San Francisco is Spanish for "South Seattle".

I mentioned in this thread once before that I am virtually incapable of talking to blondes. A blonde was just hired to be the lead on one of my work projects. I've technically worked with her before, but this is the first time that I'll have to actually work closely with her and communicate one-on-one. I'm scared. I'm not good with girls, especially blonde ones.

Video: J.C. Penny Pulls "Sexist" Phoebe Cates Ad

JC Penny forced to pull an ad of Kenny Mayne saying "J.C. Penney realizes you don't like advertising for clothes. Who does?" If you look at these smart fashion choices from Van Heusen, we're going to show you this." (and then showing the iconic Phoebe Cates walking out of a pool from "Fast Times at Ridgemont High", because it was sexist.

Here's a hint, folks. He's right. The only way you will get us to pay attention to JC Penny and Van Heusen shirts is to get our attention some other way. Don't like it? Change the freaking channel.

Is the difference between JC Penney and beer companies that the people who shop at JC Penney don't have sex, but the people who buy beer do?

The first time I saw that commercial, I figured it was going to be my last time seeing the commercial. I'm surprised I actually saw it once after that before it was axed.

The guys who make the Gears of War games always use really good, really appropriate music in the ads for the games. First game had "Mad World," and I really like the one that is used for the Gears 3 ad.

There was a girl on our floor freshman year in college (eventually the GF of my roommate) who told us that that was when she knew she was done and it was time to get up - when her legs had fallen asleep.

When my wife sits for more than 30 minutes, my balls go numb. Not sure how that happens. Probably because she cut them off 7 years ago and put 'em in her pocket.
