That's the one for the middle finger.

I can't believe people are bitching about the refs again

They finally decided that James Harrison was being held on nearly every play. About time they got it right.

They should have looked at that last play though. Even tho it was a fumble.

I don't think the refs cost Arizona the game or anything, but I did think the officiating was pretty poor. Bad calls went both ways.

Is the reffing in the Superbowl only bad when the Steelers are in it or what? Some ridiculous crap, just like XL.

Tucson-area cable TV broadcast porn during Super Bowl | www.azstarnet.com ®

Tucson-area cable TV broadcast porn during Super Bowl, readers say

The Arizona Daily Star has received multiple reports that a 30-second clip of a pornographic movie cut into a Comcast broadcast of the Super Bowl in homes in and around Tucson.
Several callers to the Star newsroom said that the broadcast cut into the feed with less than three minutes left in the game, just after Cardinals player Larry Fitzgerald scored a touchdown on a pass from Kurt Warner.
The clip showed a woman unzipping a man's pants and included full frontal male nudity.
The Super Bowl was being shown locally on KVOA. Officials at KVOA are not commenting at this time.
The Star has not been able to reach Comcast because its signals are busy.
Comcast is the second-largest cable television provider in Southern Arizona and serves more than 80,000 customers in unincorporated Pima County, Marana and Oro Valley.

If the fine for the split second of Janet Jackson's nipple was $1 million, this should pay off the national debt.

In the second shot he cups his wrist with his hand grasping the ball the same as it was in the first shot. He did adjust the ball in his hand while in motion. He had control of the ball in his hand, just didn't have any control of his arm due to the impact. If it was a fumble, the ball would have released from his hand after the first clip.

I guess it a moot point, it probably would not have altered the outcome. I just think they should have taken as much time as they did with some of the other reviews to fully evaluate.

I think people see what they want to see. A lot of people were pulling for the Cards (if I were not a Steelers fan I would be too). I will admit there were questionable calls in XL, but I really can't see it here. The only questionable one I think was the personal foul on the hit on Ben. Other then that I think it was a pretty evenly called game. Then again, maybe I was just seeing what I wanted to see? lol

I believe the most questionable part here would be posting your email address in the clear on an internet forum.

That's a whole different level of bad idea than simply arguing something where you're dead wrong, as the latter typically generates only a small amount of spam & even then only for a short time whereas the other is like giving your email account a chronic illness.

FWIW, while I thought not doing a further review on that last play was atrocious, I thought the right team won based on how the game was played by both sides.

Then I think you're choosing what you want to hear, since there is certainly more than that being said all over the place.

No way this game was "stolen" from the Cards, though. It was won fair and square, and the reason AZ lost is entirely AZ's fault.

Umm, seriously, maybe the drunk thread would be better for this.

Several people offered genuinely well-intentioned advice about posting your email in the clear being a bad idea. That's pretty standard these days I think, I see quite frequently on other forums especially when you think someone might have simply done it without thinking. It's kind of like walking through a parking lot & noticing someone getting out of their car & leaving their lights on or having a window down when it's raining. Nobody was trying to rain on your parade, I'd be definitely hard pressed to give less of a fuck who won.

But if you want to make an ass of yourself in the process of celebrating by trying to pick a fight with people for no reason then by all means feel free to disregard the well-intentioned advice & feel equally free to go fuck yourself.

edit to add: And if you aren't drunk then you really need to go fuck yourself, because that was an easy out for your sudden urge to act like an obnoxious son of a bitch for no good reason. News flash for you sparky, the Steelers won the game, you didn't do jack shit.

As a completly unbiased NE fan, I'm enraged by tonight's officiating overall. IMO, Pittsburgh got away with murder and in the absence of my team, I was actually rooting for them. I won 2 out of 4 sqaures on them; I was even wearing a Roethlisberger 2006 Superbowl jersey (but one get one F off.) I don't think there was conclusive evidence to overturn that Warner fumble; it wasn't actually, IMO a fumble, but whatever...not the point. You've got to review that play. We've all seen no-brainers reviewed in meaningless games that are already very decided, just because that's the rule. Why not tonight? WTF? Who the fuck was in the booth, LC Greenwood? Even if it was overturned, I think the odds were stacked heavily in the Steelers' favor, but I think the Cards were the victims of a tremendous disservice and derserved their improbable, but rightful shot. I know that officiating is an imperfect art, so I can look past red jerseys being pulled up over their nipples, and uncalled personal fouls, but when all is said and done, that Warner fumble not being reviewed is a travesty to Arizona, the fans and the league's integrity. Santonio got his, why not Kurt. And I fucking hate Kurt Warner.

This sucked! IMO, faaaaar worse than the stop in Eli's forward progress leading up to the miracle catch in last year's big game...this coming from a NE fan.

I will say that Kurt Warner is exceptionally gracious and was able to give really well-thought answers in the handful of post game interviews I have seen him give. I imagine he would make a pretty good analyst if he does choose to retire (I hope he hangs on for another year). As a Steelers' fan, it was hard to root against and dislike the Cardinals -- I probably would have been rooting for them (by virtue of the underdog and Warner angles) against almost anyone else if they had not been playing Pittsburgh.

Let's not fight last year's battles. We don't need that, but I do think the referees made a majority of calls that favored the Steelers. Again.

I'm not fighting last year's battles, merely reiterating my point. I had no emotional stock in this game, and I found this game's outcome far more appauling than when it was my team on the losing end of what I considered a "bad call."

Shouldn't be any different from my recording, so it should show that the game should have been won by the Cardinals and that they got screwed on the last play of the game. Glad we could clear that up.
