Don't worry. Home Run Baker will give up a dinger or three.

The ump is going to give Miggy a breathalyzer to make sure he can legally round the bags.

Miggy is unleashing the rage. He's taking everything that has happened to him over the last 48 hours or so and unleashing hell. This is what I wanted to see.
You want people in Detroit to move on from all of this, you hit that ball like it was a 300 lbs 15 year old.

My buddy who is a cop said when Miggy played that game the night after being arrested, his BAC would have been .08. That's impressive that he even suited up while being too drunk to legally drive a car in Michigan.

Huge stop by Inge there. Didn't get the out but that was a double without that play.

Also, was it necessary for Craig Sager to be at this game in his terrible purple blazer?

And now the bases are loaded. Just an awful decision to bring Miner in here. And yes I know that was a bloop single but Leyland had that OF at no doubles depth in the 6th inning which makes no sense.

Been a while that I've been able to watch a meaningful game, being a Mets fan and all, but this game reminds me that baseball is the best game out there.

Jim Leyland continues to be the most overrated manager in baseball. How you let Miner stay in is beyond me. I cannot wait for him to be gone.

Baseball should expand by one wild card in each league and have the two wild cards play each other the day after the regular season ends for the right to take the #1 seed, regardless of division.

I'll take it one further. Leyland's handling of his bullpen and his bench since the rosters expanded is as bad as anyone could do. This is what happens when a manager manages by his "feel". Just amazing. Even if the Tigs come back to win this, it won't matter as long as he is in charge. Unreal he got an extension during the season.

Wow, Magglio apparently gave up his pursuit of the most singles ever in a season for that HR.

You're right, Detox - Leyland sucks and should be let go, even if the Tigers win this game.

Curtis Granderson is a mockery now. That is baserunning 101. How the fuck you get that far off of 1st on a line drive is amazing.
Runners on the corners, no out and we don't score. Not to sandbag but you tip your cap and look forward to Spring Training. |
