And one play into the drive, touchdown from 33 yards out. Damn it. Seven point game just like that.

Texas cuts the lead to 42-35. They go downfield on the first play after an INT and get the TD.

Just got back from a job interview, missed the last 3 hours of football. WOW great games today. Hawaii game starting in 5 minutes, Texas HOPEFULLY losing. And then hopefully Oregon Beats the shit out of Cal.

Oh yea, the Job interview went great

I'm about to drive to my local ABC station and force them to switch over to the Texas/KSU game at gunpoint.

What is that idiot doing trying to catch that kickoff? Oh, well, it is tough to judge where you're at when you're looking up.

Man, how many ranked teams have gone down today?

This was a crazy day for college football. And it looks like Texas and USC are going to have to work to win, as well.

Texas is real lucky they didn't get flagged for a late hit on that third-down pass.

The more football I watch this season, the more I appreciate how good Texas and USC were last season.

There was one exciting moment. Wake Forest was pinned deep, and it look like FSU stopped them for a safety, but the ref marked it at the 1. It was pretty funny watching FSU argue for the safety so they wouldn't get shut out.

Thankfully the game is over and they have finally switched.

wow. I thought the decision to kick a FG was insane, thinking going for it on 4th and 1 there was the OBVIOUS correct decision. Impressive kick, kid!

Assuming Texas loses and USC wins, I've got the top five as:

1. Ohio State
2. Michigan
3. USC
4. Florida (I think they'll lose enough voters to slide down should SC win big)
5. ???

5 is where it gets interesting.

It's gotta be between Notre Dame, Arkansas, and Rutgers. I'm leaning towards Arkansas right now, because ND just hasn't done anything to really impress me so far this season (while Arkansas has). Also, I think the polls would never put Rutgers ahead of the sacred "Golden Domers" in my lifetime.

What do you think?

KSU saw the Nebraska game. They knew that even if they converted the 4th down, they'd probably fumble it away.

I'd pick Arkansas, but I have a feeling Notre Dame gets that 5th position.

Today is kinda like conference championship day back in 2001, where all of the teams that if won would have been in the title game, lost.

For the record, I would put them in the order of Arkansas, Rutgers and Notre Dame. I'm not too sure it will matter though because I believe that USC is going to win out and will make it to the national title game against either OSU or Michigan.

I could live with that because I'd like to see Michigan-USC or Ohio State-USC.

I'd have a tough time putting a team that has lost by 36 points (Arkansas) and a team that lost by 26 points (Notre Dame) ahead of an undefeated Rutgers team that just knocked off the #3 team in the nation.

Rutgers will climb BIG time though.. I'm thinking 7 is pretty realistic for them, that'd be a 8 spot jump, if I recall? That is just crazy to see this late in the season. I'd like to see Wisconsin hop some of those two loss teams, but who knows what'll happen. I'm finally looking forward to see what happens in the rankings tomorrow.

Yep, Wisconsin and Wake Forest should definitely be in the top 15 come Monday. What's holding Wisconsin back is there schedule might be one of the worst I've seen in a long time. The only ranked opponent they've played all season was Michigan (whom they lost to by 13 points).

However, I watched Penn State get beat pretty bad by the Badgers, so count me in as a believer that they should be a top ten team.

Actually, thinking this over, I would guess that Rutgers will end up that high, or close to it, in the AP poll because the writers will analyze it thoroughly. I'm guessing the Coaches and Harris Poll voters will not.
