Dude, what did Gannon ever do to you to deserve that wish? He's got head and neck problems, he'd end up DEAD...

Especially if he's trying to slide anywhere near Robert Geathers.

There is still 7 minutes to go, dont panic. Getting shut out at home on opening day is nothing to be alarmed about.

Hell, you guys can even start 0-6 while developing guys then rattle off those 10 straight wins you promised.

Watch the sports news man, everyone is saying it wasn't a cheap shot, and Marvin Lewis has sent a report and piece of film to the NFL showing Geathers being shoved into Green by the receiver on the play.

Get off the boys back, he done nothing wrong

The crowd leaving is getting more camera time than the Raider offense.

I think that even if the Raiders manage to get to the end zone here, that Jordan fumble may give me a close win in fantasy football (I have SD def, he has Jordan). I'm guessing fantasy football is the reason anyone is still watching this crap.

It's fun to pile on when:

1) It's the Raiders
2) A couple delusional Raiders fans have been running wild with predicitions around here this preseason

How many sacks does San Diego have? They probably close to the single game record.

I think it's actually San Diego calling the time outs in an attempt to rack up a few more sacks.

Look for more of the same from BOTH teams next week as the Chargers go shred an equally dreadful Titans team and the raiders head into the asphalt grinder that is the revamped Ravens defense....

two more shutouts next week? Could happen.

Passing Yards suck for both teams.

San Diego only had 108 passing yards and Raiders had 42 passing yards. Yikes

I am a long time raider fan and that $hit was painful. My eyes are still bleeding. The OC has got to go and move Gallery back. He was like a fish out of water. And was it me, or did Randy half-ass his routes on almost all of the replays. The only route he seemed to run at full speed was the fly, like Brooks was really going to get more than 2 seconds to throw the ball.

Yeah. . . only problem is one team completed 8 of 11 passes at a clip of 9.6 yards per pass attempt and didn't get sacked once. The other team completed 8 of 19 passes for about 5 yards per pass attempt and got sacked 9 times.

San Diego threw the ball well, they just didn't throw it more. Oakland simply sucked ass and couldn't throw it. Two different things going on there.

Early word out of Oakland is that Aaron Brooks was sacked by the Chargers this morning while trying to make toast for breakfast.

See, this is what happens when your offensive coordinator has been out of football for about a decade. Bad things happen. Those pesky things called "adjustments" don't happen.

Adding insult to injury..

What's next? Porter deciding to join the other team's cheerleaders?

When Raiders wide receiver Randy Moss said of his team, "things are crazy around here," he wasn't kidding.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported on its Web site that disgruntled receiver Jerry Porter who was inactive for the 27-0 beating the Raiders absorbed from the San Diego Chargers on Monday night, was seen laughing and pumping his fist on the sidelines when Raiders teammate Aaron Brooks was sacked for the seventh time.

Porter's role on the team has greatly diminished after he clashed with new coach Art Shell in the offseason over his offseason workout plans. Porter demanded a trade at the start of training camp, but the Raiders have declined to grant his wish.

Porter was slowed by a calf injury early in training camp but was healthy for the final three preseason games and was not listed on the team's injury report leading up to the game. He was on the sideline in street clothes for this game.

"As far as Jerry Porter is concerned, I really don't know where he stands, what the organization has in store for him," Moss told Fox Sports Radio last week. "So the only thing I can do is worry about the guys they're putting on the field."

Porter led the Raiders with 76 catches last season and had 942 yards receiving and five touchdown receptions in 2005.

He has not been listed as a starter all of training camp, even after the Raiders traded starter Doug Gabriel to New England on Sept. 2.

This is absurd. Ridiculous shenanigans or not, Porter is a good WR -- why not trade him and get some value out of him?

Now I'm hearing that Shawne Merriman sacked Aaron Brooks a couple of hours ago at the team's morning walkthrough.

You heard wrong. It wasn't Merriman. It was a HS kid dressed as Merriman that was supposed to give the Raider offensive line a bit of confidence. When he ran over the tackle and Robert Gallery to put the hit on Aaron Brooks, Shell ended practice.

Joey Porter begged for practice to continue and offered the HS $1,000 if he hit Brooks again.

Things are getting ugly in Raiderland.

Hell.. rumor has it that Shell kept Porter off the field in street clothes during practice, and an angry Porter STILL sacked Aaron Brooks!
