Thanks for the foul, Harris. Now we get another damned timeout. This reminds me why I only watch Game 7s in the NBA now.

I'm being facetious here, but how many timeouts do these teams get? At least some of the TV timeouts get charged to the teams, and yet they still have enough timeouts to make an overtime last for an hour and a half. This is unreal.

Great series, the Spurs have NO quit in them. I just hope that Mavs don't get complacent now that they've slain their mortal enemy.

I'm still confused as to when Jeebs became a Mavs fan and gave up on his Rockets allegiance.

Nah, the Mavs are right up there with my favorite teams (though I will root for just about anybody who is playing the Spurs...except for the Lakers). I moved up here right about the same time they started getting good and it was hard not to fall in love with the run and gun, scrappy team they were. I certainly hear a lot more Mavs news nowadays than I do Rockets news.

I grew up as a Mavs fan. My heart was broken when Derek Harper dribbled away the clock at the end of the game 6 against the Lakers, when he thought he was icing the game, instead it was a tied game. Then the low years, when 1st round picks were spent on guys like Uwe Blabb. I remember it being real easy in the mid-90s to get free floor level seats to most home game. Now, they are a fun team to watch again.

Raja Bell...how did that guy get away without getting a flagrant intentional on that one on Livingston? Gawd, I hate that guy, and hometown calls, too (they called the foul, of course, but Ray Charles could have made that call...now!).

Well, I am an Edmonton Oilers fan as well...

Actually, I can't stand bandwagon fans and would never be one. Do you think I would be a UTEP, Cowboys, Rockets, and Astros fan if all I did was root for the hot team?

Even though the timeouts get "charged" to the teams, they are just regular TV timeouts. The teams don't really have control over when they are taken.

The Mavs are the only team left in te playoffs that I can tolerate. I like a few of the guys on the Suns, but I hate the greasy long haired canuck. As far as the eastern conference goes, I can't stand either of the teams.

big win for Phoenix. It just comes down to if they can hit their shots in 4 of the 7 games. If they can, they very well may pull this out. That said, Dallas has a big advantage on size, talent and depth. So, it's going to be a tough one for Phoenix.

I'm confident that the Mavs will get a good series out of Harris and Howard. Looking at it, I think Dirk and Terry can outscore Nash and Marion, the Mavs will just have to defend the 3 point line well. At no point can you let some combo of Eddie House/Tim Thomas/James Jones rain 3's if you want a chance at winning.

The Heat should roll these guys. Defend the 3 point line, don't double from a shooter. Foul both Wallace's as much as possible. If you can put Ben Wallace and his 22% free throw shooting on the line, you gotta do it. Unlike the Cavs, the Heat have a lot of offensive weapons, so I think they should prevail.

DALLAS -- Mavericks coach Avery Johnson has a message for his team in the wake of Jason Terry getting suspended for punching San Antonio's Michael Finley between the legs: Don't hit, grab.

Not watching the game (unfortunately) but Suns are off to their usual hot start, and Nowitzki is 1-4 from the floor with 2:24 to go in the 1st.

He's been that way all playoffs long. He missed a lot of time, though, so what little quickness he has probably isn't back yet...

Dampier really does have some nice moves around the hoop. The Mavs would be smart to get him the ball some down low...

That is what I meant. Throughout the playoffs he just can't stay on the floor. I am not sure this is going to be a good series for him matchup wise on either end of the floor.

Jeez, Dallas needs to figure out how to slow down the fast break. 30 plus points in transition.
