I am sorry, but I refuse to reformat for one piece of software. And there is no guarantee that reformatting would fix the problem anyways.

Any reason the big ten owners seem to be bitching so much? Can't wait to consistently knock you guys out of the playoffs.

Do we have a website for this league yet? What's the schedule now that the game has been released? No rush, I was just curious. 5 more days of work and then I get 18 days off! (I love teaching).
Go TCU! |

I'm working on the website and forum this weekend, and hope to have it opened up by next weekend. As for a schedule, I'm tenatively looking at releasing the league file around New Year's, and having the league actually start sometime around the middle of January. That will give people plenty of time to buy the game, and get familiar with it, as well a knock out any of the bugs that might have snuck through.

I hate the Big Ten in real life. Nice to see some consistency between that and this league.

Man, I hope at least a couple of other leagues go in the opposite direction. Meaning they are ready to roll in a few days and ready to knock some MP bugs out of our path. |

I seriously hope that isn't the direction this goes. I would like to see promoting coaches that led a small school to some good seasons up to fill major vacancies.

Since it looks like you can only buy the game with a credit card, I guess I'm out.

Coaching vacancies
Quote:
I agree. This may be putting the horse before the cart, but I'd even go a step further. When a player quits, post a "Coaching Vacancy", and give everyone else in the league a chance to apply. If more than one applies, have the league vote who the most qualified would be. That way, participation and active players are gonna be more apt to get the "job". If no one applied, open it to outside players. |

i think we should keep hire/fire on, and let teams fire coaches. then let the cpu controlled coach fill the vacancy. i dont know if that will work in multiplayer, but it seems easier

Yea, prehaps we should leave it up to the conference to police their coaches. If someone is trashing a prestigous team then the conference coaches can step in and warn him, and then look for a replacement.

Does this mean we'll be delegating conference commissioners or presidents to do this sort of thing? Would each conference have a separate policy? It would seem to be this is the sort of thing that can be done from a player's level without making what's gonna be an already overworked League GM get involved. It would also kinda bring focus on the members of a conference on the conference itself, which would be a good thing, IMO. |
