Don't block the halls

Just for that, I will not vote for Gallagher for governor.

It's 5:40 am and in about one minute I'm going to watch the sun come up. I don't know if I've ever done that. Anyway, we're going to try to pick things up, and start over. It won't be easy but we're all together again. And I feel good. I'm not sure if this paper is what you wanted, if I hit the social significance or whatever you're looking for. But, for what it's worth, thanks a lot.

So I guess this is where I tell you what I learned. My conclusion, right? Well, my conclusion is: hate is baggage. Life's too short to be pissed off all the time. It's just not worth it. Derek says it's always good to end a paper with a quote. Says someone else has already said it best so if you can't top it, steal from them and go out strong. So I picked a guy I thought you'd like. "We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic cords of memory will swell when again touched, as they surely will be, by the better angels of our nature."

The details of my life are quite inconsequential. My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with lowgrade narcolepsy and penchant for buggery. My mother was a 15 year old french whore named Chloe with webbed feet. My father liked to womanize, he liked to drink, he would make outrageous claims - like that he invented the question mark. sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy, the sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical, summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we would make meat helmets. When I was insolent, I was placed and a burlap bag and beaten with reeds. Pretty standard, really.

Let's see how long it takes you to name the movie based only on quotes, shorty.

no idea? but i'll continue to think and post my own

Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

That is Billy Madison.

Second quote from the movie above:

hrm, still stumped but keep them coming. Does it involve highschool girls as the main characters?

No, I'm serious. This is a serious exercise. It's like an SAT question. Which one is going to get to the hundred dollar bill first? The male-friendly lesbian, the man-hating dyke, Santa Claus, or the Easter bunny?

Nope, but that is a good movie!!

I don't think I've ever seen the movie you're talking about digamma..

Another quote from the same:

"Check this shit. You got cracker farm boy Luke Skywalker, Nazi poster boy, blond hair, blue eyes. And then you got Darth Vader, the blackest brother in the galaxy, Nubian god!"

Good guess- Chasing Amy

No idea about that man. Maybe I'll have to check it out?

Maybe my favorite movie (also my sig):

"First Guy: Well, as a matter of fact I won't because Wood drastically underestimates the impact of social...

Second Guy: Wood drastically... Wood drastically underestimates the impact of social distinctions predicated upon wealth, especially inherited wealth. You got that from Visas. "Work in Essex County", page 98, right? Yeah, I read that too. Were you going to plagiarize the whole thing for us? Do you have any thoughts of your own on this matter? Or do you, is that you thing, you come into a bar, you read some obscure passage, and then pretend, you pawn it off as your own, as your own idea just to impress some girl and embarrass my friend?"

Alright. No. No no. Fuck you. You don't owe it to yourself. You owe it to me. 'Cause tomorrow I'm gonna wake up and I'll be fifty and I'll still be doing this shit. And that's all right, that's fine. I mean, you're sittin' on a winning lottery ticket and you're too much of a pussy to cash it in. And that's bullshit `cause I'd do anything to fuckin' have what you got! So would any of these fuckin' guys. It'd be an insult to us if you're still here in twenty years. Hanging around here is a fuckin' waste of your time.

Goin to go get a quick shower but I'll be back:

Oh, I don't know that. Let me tell you what I do know. Every day I come by to pick you up. And we go out we have a few drinks, and a few laughs and it's great. But you know what the best part of my day is? It's for about ten seconds from when I pull up to the curb to when I get to your door. Because I think maybe I'll get up there and I'll knock on the door and you won't be there. No goodbye, no see you later, no nothin'. Just left. I don't know much, but I know that.

No - but I'm on pace for 2400 this year so I'm not worried.

Shorty--you still have to delete your posts in the other thread. I know that if you do that YOU WILL LOSE POSTS, but I think you have to do it for the Squid's sake.

John Galt--That's a lot. Today is not good for my productivity, but like you, I've put in my fair share lately.

Today is the end of our summer program, so you have all of these 2Ls bouncing around on their last day 3 hour lunches. Not the most productive work environment.

Sean: Do you have a soul mate?
Will: Define that.
Sean: Someone you can relate to, someone who opens things up for you.
Will: Sure, I got plenty.
Sean: Well, name them.
Will: Shakespeare, Nietzsche, Frost, O'Conner...
Sean: Well that's great. They're all dead.
Will: Not to me, they're not.
Sean: You can't have a lot of dialogue with them.
Will: Not without a heater and some serious smelling salts.

yes, whatever the hell you intended to spell.

Look, you're my best friend, so don't take this the wrong way. In twenty years, if you're still livin' here, comin' over to my house to watch the Patriots games, still workin' construction, I'll fuckin' kill you. That's not a threat. Now, that's a fact. I'll fuckin' kill you.
