As a Lions fan, I'll say it now:

If Oher, Maulauga (who I am iffy on even still), Brown or Jenkins are gone, and Maclin's there, you have to take him. he's BPA at that point.

Saints need defense here too but I'm afraid they go Wells. I think Wells will be a good pro but come on, get some D Saints.

You guys should just follow it on the draftcast on ESPN.com. Who needs all that BS commentary by those morons anyway.

I find it kind of amusing that people are bitching about the reality show nature of seeing the call coming in to the player (which delivers the information you theoretically want as quickly as possible) instead of waiting to reveal that information in pseudo dramatic fashion at the podium.

There's no way they could have improved their team more than taking a guy that keeps Jason David off the field.

English fits the Chargers well. They need a rush especially when I think Merriman could be gone soon.

English is a bit of a reach but still should be a solid player.

I think that was a panic pick after Cushing went. English isn't going to pan out at the next level.

This is incredible. The Vikings could get some huge value at #22 with Oher.

I heard rumors a month or so ago about Atlanta being interested in Larry English, so it's probably not really that big of a reach.

Edit: I'm surprised he went in front of Everette Brown, but I guess that's why I'm not an NFL GM or scout.

Hearing some serious rumbling and we're under a severe thunderstorm warning. Already saw a couple of small trees down from the first round of this earlier. I'm afraid I might not have power much longer. Crap.

We had that storm here for 30 minutes or so. It got pretty loud but it moved fast.

I hate definitive statements like that before a player ever steps on the field. Of course I do the exact same thing, such as with Stafford, so I guess I'm a hypocrite.

Wow. Interesting for the Browns...

And could the Bucs have waited a few more picks for their guy? Or did they think the Broncos were going to take Freeman?

A 6th isnt bad considering they want Maclin and no chance TB or Denver takes him. Now if someone jumps into Denvers spot it sucks. But I doubt it.
