You also have to consider what they did against E. Carolina. Washington should be ranked ahead of them, South Carolina, probably South Florida, there's probably others too.

Anyone who saw the Rutgers-USF game last your shouldn't be that surprised USF won, they are talented.

Looks like 4 big east teams in the top 25 this week.

TD Wisconsin to take the lead over UNLV with just under 2 minutes to go.

Damn Auburn. Kept me from a perfect day of picks for the In The Bleachers Pick 'em contest. Oh well, I was the only one to call Oregon's win.

Anybody who saw Auburn struggle with KSU last week probably isn't totally surprised either.

Badgers get the 2-point conversion, lead UNLV 20-13 with 1:53 to go.

If VT was top 5 going in? I'd agree. but they were not. They should drop out of the top 25 after that performance. Michigan has a rival for most overated team this season, its name is Virginia Tech.

That's just bizarre (to me anyway). I thought the Oregon pick was pretty obvious.

It's kind of funny that BC was an afterthought for the ACC and they are clearly the best team.

Me too. They even used my quote as to why I thought Oregon would win. It was strangely prophetic. My Auburn call, not so much.

Or that the BE got the better end of the stick (from a pure football perspective, not financial) with the changes to the conferences.

Well, it seems like there are three teams (USC, LSU, and Oklahoma) that are clearly a cut above the rest of the nation.

Texas has struggled during its first two games. They have the talent, no question, but I have a tough time putting them in the same class as the other three teams at this point.

Well, after watching Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State over the past few weeks, I don't think it's much of an overstatement to say that PSU probably has the best defense in the Big Ten. Special teams are good, and the offense is going to cost us a few games, but hopefully the quality of the defense can carry PSU to a Big Ten title.

Actually, after watching tOSU, Wisconsin, and Michigan all struggle/lose today, winning the Big Ten doesn't appear to be as hard of a feat.

Say what you will about Clausen, but he actually played pretty well today and made some very nice throws. The problem in ND is that offensive line. In literally every play, there were PSU defenders in the backfield (which is why ND relied on the screen game so much). Also, the ND defensive line is not that impressive, so Weis really has to try and recruit some hogs.

Nice to see the Huskies back up that blowout win over Syracuse last week with a solid win over Boise State. It's been a long time since I thought the UW was a legit bowl team, but they may have finally turned the corner. Next 3 weeks will be a huge test though, with Ohio State, UCLA and USC on the docket. As nice as it was to see the Huskies end Boise's winning streak, they'll have to play a lot better to win any of those three games.

Tons of Boise fans in Husky Stadium today - at least 10,000, and they were all wearing orange and blue. Not really all that surprising given that Boise is a day's drive from Seattle, but that had to be a rough day for those fans - Boise State still has yet to beat a BCS conference team in their opponent's stadium.

Jake Locker is impressive, and while he'll continue to make mistakes given that he's just a RS-Fr, you can see the potential. His WR didn't help him out much today, dropping a lot of passes. One thing that concerns me though is that his physical running style exposes him to a lot of hard hits - I think he's going to have to learn to pick his spots and know when to use the slide.

thats ok, Ive been to both Clemson games, and I am not so sure about them either.

They are EASILY the most talented team in the ACC, I am scared they may be the worst coached however. Despite the fact that I love Tommy Bowden and think he is thee best program caoch we have ever had. Rob Spence just leaves me shaking my head, and TB hasn't done anything to fix it.

I am not so sure about them either. But I fully believe they could beat any team in thee country, or lose to most as well. I am hoping yesterday was juts a case of playing down to your opponent and coming off 4 days rest.

It will be 3 weeks, then we should know when Clemson goes to Atlanta.
