Hmm...it still shows $20K from the label when I want to make additional copies of the record. However, there's no option to acutally "USE" that money. I didn't see when she originally made the record what the options were, so I can't verify there wasn't an option when the record was originally recorded. However, it seems odd that it shows $20K avail, but no way to actually tap into it.

The Truth, Canadian Myth, Somatic, Goldeneye, and Loves of a Blonde all have contract offers from Front Office Records.
Right now, I'm giving out $20K/1 single contracts until we have a little more cash to spread around (Double D was the exception because I had given him a longer contract the night the label disbanded). That way, I can fund ~20 bands with the cash on hand. Then in a couple of months when people start re-upping, there will be more cash to spread around for longer contracts. This looks to be best for the long term health of all bands because this gives a lot of cash to some of the smaller bands who can start making their way up the ladder to become bigger and increase the revenue base of the label. The 20k was from my label, ideally it was suppose to be to help out once they got 20-30 popularity atleast established from touring, ect, because there's no way they could pay back the advance before that to see profit. She gets 20k per, for 2 singles and 1 album, If she can manage to tour (make sure set all your songs on your set list), hopefully can make enough to reestablish herself.. But if you don't use all of the 20,000 advance during the recording, you are sol later on. |

Oh, that reminds me. If anyone in Front Office Records is going to do an album instead of a single, tell me before I make another contract. That way I can send a bit more cash since they're more expensive to make.

Errr...if you need to record on a label, you can use Freedom. We don't have much cash, but since I started with nothing, you can too.
To be honest, I haven't been keeping up with the happenings of how the labels work and such, so be warned. |

A bunch. There is: Sparrow, Elitists, Front Office, Freedom, and I believe Matron Records? Also, next game month (tommorrow) Underworld Records will be opening it's doors seeing as Zero To Sixty has obligated it's contract to Front Office Records. I might as well plug it while I'm here... UWR will be dedicated to the heavier sounds out there. Our goal will be to raise interest in heavier rock and metal bands. We will be singularly dedicated to our bands, and all label funds will go back to the bands. So expect some big contracts. Be looking for it next month!

I run Funkadelic Tunes but only my sister & I are in it. Having the label makes it easier for both of us to keep track of each other and release albums. That was the only reason it was made.

Well, despite my best hopes, my record on sold 37k. Not nearly what I had hoped. Hopefully I can sell the rest of the 150k I pressed, but this doesnt look likely. I hope to just break even at this point.

Squidfecta sold out immediatly, as we continue to pump out a steady amount of cash for ourselves and the Elitists.
On the Office Pimps front, our Huge Budget Single, Die Sparrow Die, is set to come out next month. |

7 Deadly Records is FOFC as well, but we're aiming to stay small. I like the idea of having only 5-7 bands on contract at any one time.

Anyone who has applied to Front Office Records who I haven't given a contract to? Or anyone who hasn't applied to Front Office Records and wants in?
Quite a few bands apply so unless I know who they are, I don't extend a contract. Just tell me who you are and I'll offer a contract (also, the length of the contract would be good- how many singles and albums, tho I'm keeping it to roughly 1 album/3 singles so that I don't run out of cash to offer) SI

Ughh, I constantly underrate how many albums/singles I will sell. I thought 150k would be way too many, and of course they're all gone the first month. Wish I'd have cranked out more. I did the 150k promo for the Pasty White Thighs also, wonder how much that accounted for it?
How do you set up a band picture? I get all the individual members but can't find where to setup the band. |

My first single bombed, and we wasted all of the 15K Swaggs gave me to produce it. For the next single, i only printed 7K copies, and only spent about 11K to make it. I thought that it would have turned a profit by now, cause i had used less than the 35K my contract called for. Now the record sold 6K of the copies I made, and now I dont have any money to print more CD's. Apparently also i wont be making any money off the single since its almost sold out, and wont turn a profit. Is there any way around this.

Somatic has been offered a new contract. Canadian Myth will be offered a new one as soon as their single is released this month.
We're up to 13 members of Front Office Records and back into the top 10 on the power chart. Time to unseat those Toilet Anarchy punks. Nothing like advertising you want the "Sickest and most fucked up song names in Music-Maven". That means we've got 7 more spots for anyone looking to join. Tell me who you are. We get quite a few people wanting to join up and I'd like to limit the label to FOFC members. SI

Element are currently recording the follow up to their award winning debut album Elementary, preliminary titled Stage 2. All reports from the band suggest it will be of a far higher quality than the previous effort and even better than the recently released single Get Down which has sold nearly 300,000 copies to date.

I don't know really. It seems that I initially signed up everyone on very small and very long contracts which I regret as all the band s on the label are not getting the cash they deserve.
Short of disbanding and resigning everyone, I'm not sure what can be done. |

The Pegs would like to re-up with Elitist records and have an album option. We have 6 songs of good quality now, but are almost broke. So if a label could front us a lot of cash we could do great. Our last single sold out 40,000 copies in its first week, bt we can't afford to print any more.
