Diaw's going to be very hard to trade this offseason due to his BYC status. 1/2 of his new salary is like 4 million, meaning that he would either have to go to a team comfortably under the cap, or be included in a pretty big trade(salary wise)

That could have been disastrous for Dee Brown. He could of easily of had his neck broken when Okur landed on him.

Deron Williams- 2 fouls in the first minute of the game
Dee Brown- injured
Derrick Fisher- not with the team

The Jazz are doing well to still be in it

Too many offensive rebounds for Utah and too many fouls by Golden State...

Only down 5 after being slaughtered on the boards. I'll take it.

Unreal. They actually called a blocking foul on Williams. Maybe these officials will actually call Boozer for his push to the lower back of the defender on every single rebound he goes for.

I can't believe the Warriors are still in it while being outrebounded by 20+. I guess limiting turnovers, oh, and hitting 11-25 3s, helps!

20x worse because we KNEW we would beat Dallas. I can't say the same about Utah.

No Dick. The story of this game is the Warriors clanking free throw after free throw in the fourth quarter.

This one's over. Up two-oh. Jazz will have to work hard to stop the Warriors from bouncing back at Cali in Games 3 and 4.

My heart also goes out to Derek Fisher and his family. They're going through one of the worst days in their lives, and he still managed to suit up.

God...two chances at wins on the road for the Warriors. Slipped through their fingers like sand. I think they can come out at home and get two wins. What happened in this game was the Warriors had nothing left in the tank in OT. When you're playing an up-tempo style with what is esentially a 6 man rotation, those five extra minutes are killers.

Utah earned both wins, though. I thought the Warriors had no hope in hell in the first half. It was just rebound after rebound after rebound for Utah. Kirilenko was the MVP of the game, unquestionably. He was just all over the court. Ah...I'll try to break it down a bit more tomorrow....a little too wound up for it right now.

What is going on between Don Nelson and Monta Ellis? They made mention of Nelson not be happy with his recent play but Ellis gave the team 16 plus a game this year. I remember reading during the Dallas series, Nelson saying he was among his best players. Doesn't he have to get more than 12 minutes total in the first two games?

I think the Suns will keep Diaw. He came in out of shape and has had back issues pretty much all season. It has just been in the past couple of weeks where he's been fully healthy again. As he gets more with the second unit, I think he will be a very strong player and could be vital when Nash finally hangs it up.

If any major salary needs to be moved, I think we will see Marion go. Now, there was an article saying the Suns had the second highest profit this season in the NBA so they may only need to part with some smaller pieces. If that happens, I could see a combo of deals involving Banks (+ their own 1st) and James Jones to save them $7-8 million.

As an aside, it looks like Bruce Bowen is at it again. Check out this youtube video of him trying to leg sweep Amare after a dunk in the 4th quarter:

I think Marion makes too much for them to trade as well. The Suns were pretty pissed at Diaw this season 1) he came in so out of shape and is still way out of shape 2) he changed his game this year, partly due to Amare being back, but he looks to pass way to much. He has turned into a Phoenix Mercury player trying to pass or do a poor layup everytime he gets the ball. Go in with some authority man and slam it home once. The Suns have 3 1st rounders this year they aren't going to use them all. They blew it with Banks and J. Jones just hasn't stepped up so I could see them departing as well, but don't look for Marion to be gone unless he requests it ala Joe Johnson to the Hawks.

RE: the Bowen thing...it's looks bad in slow-mo, but I don't think it was intentional at all. Amare never even acknowledges it either and didn't at the game either. Looks like Bowen is trying to stop or jump to block the shot and then he realizes he has no shot in hell of blocking the shot so he stops ackwardly.

Ellis' confidence has taken a nosedive, and he hasn't really contributed anything. His shot has dissapeared. Nelson has a tight leash.

Amare thinks it was deliberate:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/playof...ory?id=2866789

"He kicked me purposely in the back of my Achilles. I almost came down wrong and he almost caused an injury," Stoudemire said after Thursday's practice. "He's known for doing that. I just hope the NBA and the commissioner take a look at that because it's definitely a dirty play."

I think Bowen was certainly trying to kick Amare, the video shows him doing a "leg sweep" in slo mo at his achilles.

I agree with this. Hardly looks intentional to me. More like somebody is trying hard to make it into something.

I don't know how you can't think that was intentional. His leg sweeps right out. I'm hardly willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt either, given Bowen's history of doing things exactly like this.
