Syracuse wins and Anthony goes down as a college basketball "great".

Syracuse definitely *can* do it but my gut tells me this is Kansas' year.

Well, I'll stay with what TDCB predicted in my franchise.

Cuse win it! Carmelo Anthony will be the MVP.

I'm ok with either Roy Williams or Jim Boeheim winning it. Both are class coaches and great guys who have done some great things with their programs.

Here's a thought.. Will the outcome of this game play a role in Williams's decision to head to UNC?

The Heels are just biding their time until this Tourney is over.. As soon as it is, they'll be all over Roy Williams.. Does he go this time?

By the way, Kansas wins the National Title tomorrow evening in a tight game similar to the one between Syracuse and Texas last night.

Ask Ben Howland!

Silly Man, Silly Man.. Just as Roy Williams would be to leave Kansas for UNC. Instead of John Wooden's, the shadow cast would be of Dean Smith's.

I don't see Williams leaving UNC with all that has happened there recently with Matt D's firing. They are in store for some serious bad karma real soon. Of course, that may make Williams more prone 'fix' the program possibly, lol.

I still believe UNC's best choice is Larry Brown. Brown could come in and quickly turn UNC back around plus he'd be willing to work with Dean Smith which is what they are truly looking for. Throw in the extra incentive that Larry won't coach for too many more years which would give Phil Ford the opportunity to take over the rebuilt program...which is what most of the UNC administrators want anyway.

It's very interesting though with how closely tied Kansas and North Carolina are. Dean Smith learned the system at Kansas under Phog Allen and transplanted it to North Carolina. Larry Brown and Roy Williams brought it back to Kansas. Guys like Bill Self and John Calipari are waiting in the wings to see if they'll get the opportunity to take over either Kansas or UNC. Either way, KU and UNC will have a talented coach from the Kansas/UNC coaching tree.

Doesn't George Karl's name come up the past 2 times the unc job was open? so expect more of the same?

Rag,

That's because George is screaming for the job, lol. He won't get it. They need to bring in someone who will work closely with Dean Smith. And Larry Brown will do that...with Phil Ford waiting in the wings.

I'm surprised we haven't heard more from Majerus or others who's names came up during their earlier job search.
