Time for a Politics Forum Section? (non-bitchfest thread) - Page 4

should we have a seperate "I love Farrah hypenated-last-name" forum?

Too much for me to read here. I was looking for my post in the thread QS started because I thought it had merit and figured it was totally overlooked in the mess that was going on, but I didn't see the thread at all so, in a nutshell what I said was...

-Have a new forum for political threads.
-For items of import (such as news items such as Rehnquist's death), post the NEWS item in the general forum and include a link to the same topic in the political forum.
-After that, use the general forum thread for NEWS items related to the original NEWS item (such as information on Rehnquist's coffin lying in repose and viewing times).
-Use the political forum version of the thread for all the other stuff that goes on, with rules such as those for "The Pit" at The Straight Dope.

I know, it would probably cause poblems, but it's what I think might work...

Why don't we just prohibit or ban Politics all together? Wouldn't that solve the problem?
