I'm really not sure how to approach this double negative, so I'll just say:
I think this show will suck, and I won't watch it to even see if I'm right. EDIT: I was always of the opinion that one day, we would have a woman be President of this country. After seeing how ridiculous Geena Davis looks as President, I'm positive it just will never happen. Last edited by Logan : 08-08-2005 at 08:13 PM. |

Yes. It looks horrible this show. Not even Donald Sutherland can save this show. Though perhaps they could get his son onboard and kick some cool "24" action mid-season.
That's all right. I don't need any new shows. I have plenty on my TiVO plate for this year: House Gilmore Girls (the wife likes it) Lost (loving this) "24" (come January) CSI You throw sports (NFL/NHL) and NFL/NHL related shows (NLF Live, Total Access, NHL 2Night (if it will still exist), and PTI) and that's more than enough (way more actually) TV for me.

I went to college with one of the semi-lead chicks in the show (not Geena Davis).

You should rent Catwoman for her. That should knock the Bejamin Bratt right out of her. |

I saw a commercial of this with Donald Sutherland saying that the presidency is for people who want the power to control the universe. The quote made the the show seem like a cartoon version of the West Wing.

I won't be watching either. It'll be just another short lived drama based entirely around a gimmick (like the before mentioned blind cop show, although I dunno if that's been given the axe yet or not).

And what is with all the science fiction Earthbound shows?
If I have seen the adds correctly you have invaders from outer space on one network and invaders from the ocean on another Network. BTW-- Anyone who goes to see The Dukes of Hazard sober should be barred from entering your house. |

I think all these shows are trying to be the new the "Lost." Lost was a successful "supernatural" show and "The 4400" has been pretty successful (for a cable show) and TV, like so much else in the entertainment industry, is all about the copycat.

You know, I've never been a Geena Davis fan. The people that say she's attractive I think are insane (on par with the people who think Molly Ringwald is hot). That being said, she hasn't aged well - it's as if her bottom lip has continued to grow while the rest of her body stays the same.
Yes, I do think this show will be a steaming pile of poo.

I'll be incredibly shocked if it lasts out a full season. If for some reason it has a full season contract, they will surely burn it off next summer.

While age hasn't been kind to Geena (at all really), I think she was attractive and don't consider myself insane. Watch "Long Kiss Goodnight" or "Cutthroat Island" (if you can bear it). I think she looks pretty good in those. She's certainly not your traditional beauty.

Geena Davis is a dog. So is Molly Ringwald.
