Boondock Saints...Coolest. Movie. Ever.
Just saw this, and got to say i thought it was really cool...it helped having a bunch of guys over im sure, but we all thorougly enjoyed the movie. Anyone else seent this sucker? The ending was not at all what i expected, and i even had 3 scenarios in my head.
I also just learned that it is the top grossing independent film of all time...thats something to be proud of!

ok, for the record...
yes, many people here have seen it - it's sort of an FOFC favorite. Except with me. I think it was lame.

pretty damn good film, one of my top 10 action movies. The actors had good chemistry, and it was paced very well.

I found this movie wholely underwhelming. Didn't really like it at all which is surprising considering I tend to like these sort of flicks. It just tried so hard to be so cool that is just, well, wasn't.

I thought it was good, but I didn't really like the ending as much.
One part about that movie that bumped it up for me is that for once a movie actually captured the 'Boston' angle - accents, attitude, etc - fairly well. Good Will Hunting did too, but the other night I saw Mystic River, which was a very good movie, except most people talking as they left were complaining about how bad the accents were from the two women. |

I just watched Overnight, anyone seen that?
Documentary that follows the writer/director and his "boys" throughout the process of being signed by Miramax, trying to get a record deal, completely fugging up the deal with Miramax and all that ensues. Troy Duffy comes across as a real egomaniacal asshole. He basically burns every bridge he can during the film. It's great to watch though, funny and sad at the same time. I'd hate working with the guy though. He really does hose himself over through the course of it. It's worth a watch if you liked the movie, or if you have some deep burning hatred of Harvey Weinstein, there's plenty of bashing him in the movie. |
