I was reading Gates of Fire when I registered it and I wanted a military reference since that's what I do for a living.
Looking back I wish I would have been at least slightly more obscure with something like Parmenion or Hamalcar. Is it too late to change it?

By the way, call it coincidence, but I think this reply is some excellent timing with the Knights vs. Merchantmen game coming up. Before someone asks: MIJB refers to the initials of my name with M and IJ for my first names and B for my last name. IJ as one initial is not a typo, it's the fun of living in a country with a centuries old character that has never been promoted enough to have it's own ASCI code. #19 refers to 19 as being the number of my life. I was born on the 19th and have lived all my life at #19. No link with jersey #s, they've been 29, 7 and 22.

In the early 1990's I was working for AOL. Back then they were proud of their 200,000 member user base. I ran a segment of the sports section called The Grandstand. At that time we were limited to 10 characters for our screen and I chose LivnLegend. I've used it ever since for just about everything, even though I am rarely limited to the 10 characters.

Always wanted to join the Army, so I used gi at a young age. Then I joined the Army, so I used it because it fit. I also like it because it is easy to type in games when you wish to chat. Shorter the better....
Generally not available anymore. Either you need longer character names or someone else has it. Got lucky here. |

Mr. Wednesday = character in Neil Gaiman's novel American Gods. I picked the name because I like it, not because I think I bear any particular resemblance to the character.

It's the title of a Paul Westerberg album and I absolutely love the dark connotation to it. 75 was added because when i first signed up i posted about 3 times over the course of the year and didnt remember my password, so I just created a new one and added the 75 cause that's the year my momma unleashed the wonder that is me on the world. |

I doubt that any of you on this board will know who or what this character was. You would have to be in your 40's or 50's to remember this one. If any of you are interested, This character was in a certain comic book series. Any Guesses?

I used to be a huge punk rock fan in college, so when I first downloaded AIM my frosh year, I decided to pick a screen name in honor of the band Pennywise(my favorite band). Well, to my disappointment, that name had been taken so I added on the letters SB, which is the initials of the city where I went to college. Ever since then, this handle has stuck with virtually everything that I need a handle for.

Nothing special about my name, as you see is quite common. My real name is Sara, my boyfriend sometimes call me Tara and I like it. In the end I've choose that name because, when I set up my profile I was working at the lab and cannot waste too much time to think about an ID and at the same time I didn't want to use my real name.
That's all. |

My first fantasy baseball team was called "Draft Dodgers". It's all just a big old giant play on words, which I think is cool.- I was a Dodger fan, and so planned to do just that...draft Dodgers. But I liked that it had the 2nd meaning too, even though I am not political. DD is also my initials. I So, when I first signed up on an online message board (I think the High Heat Clubhouse) Draft Dodger was the first thing I could think of, and it just stuck. And, my AL team name at the time "Creeping Death" just didn't seem to fit as nicely. Oddly, I use that name everywhere, and people always appreviate it (naturally) to DD. except when I play UT, where I get called "Draft" for short.
I always had more fun coming up with fantasy team names than actually playing fantasy sports: Draft Dodgers and Circuit Breakers in baseball. The Christmas Yves (for the great Yves Racine), Screaming Ice Demons, and Frozen Water Buffaloes ("can I borrow your towel...") in hockey, Pigskin Zen for football (a play on the Jane's Addiction song "Pigs In Zen") and, my favorite, the Dodge Drafters for the Yahoo NASCAR thingamabob.

Actually I was just really at a low point in creativity. For some reason, everybody started refering to me as "Big John" for a few months. The Lions are my favorite team. The funny thing is that soon after, the "Big John" thing just suddenly stopped. It's not because I suddenly lost weight or anything either. I actually gained weight, then lost it... (down around 265 now)

Spelled all of the way out my username would be tater gator, but was shortened to tategter during an AOL username creation debacle. For whatever reason I kept it and use it on every forum I join.
As for the tater gator part, Tate is nowhere on my birth certificate but I have gone by it since I was born. If you knew my real name you would know why I go by a nickname instead. Some people growing up used to call me tater, which rhymes with gator, so that is where I picked that up from. |

I am the thinking mind of a herd of little green fantastic flying froggies.
Since 'thinking mind of a herd of little green fantastic flying froggies' was slighly too long as an internet screen name, I shortened it to fantastic flying froggies.

17 Year Old Glengoyne. It's a richer malt, showing apples, caramel, sweet candy, honey, and lots of oak. The finish is robust and lingering- you can almost chew it. Bravo. (Rating ****1/4) |
