The Amazing Race

Ahh, why do the assholes always win???

Then again I wasn't really rooting for any of the final four teams. You had Kris/Jon (Team Flanders) who were too perfect, Freddy and the Amazing Racist, Rebecca and bitch-boy, and the "model" and the stupidest man on the planet! Seriously, why does Aaron propose after all that bickering?

Oh, well the next season is only 3(?) weeks away. Hopefully Boston Rob and Ambuhhh (yes, the survivor couple is in this) get a quick exit. Cool to see a soldier who was captured in Iraq will be participating.

What I thought was really cool was that 3 of the women in the final 4 groups had large luscious boobs. Made the last few weeks very fun to watch.

Yea, I was really rooting for Kris and Jon to win, but oh well. I still can't get over Kendra's comment while in Africa (paraphrased)"I just can't stand it anymore, all the poverty, and they just keep breeding and breeding". How ignorant can you be?

Should be very interesting to see how the others interact with Boston Rob and Amber. I actually hope to see them do well.

Agreed on Kendra, that was the spoiler in all this. We were hoping for Kris and Jon, but they made two mistakes with the airline tickets in the last episode that cost them big time.

We were cheering for Kris/John as well, but the screw up on the flight to Chicago was their own fault.

I have to say I enjoyed seeing Hayden go all freak show during the lock opening task.

Hayden was just ticking me off with her whole "Aaron, I'm getting mad, you better fix it" routine. Fix it yourself for once...

This season seemed to feature a high number of unstable couples, at least four by my count. Makes for interesting, but also cringing TV. I was half expecting Phil to beat the hell out of Jonathan for verbally abusing Victoria at the end of the leg that finished in Berlin, pretty much right in front of him.

A now the gimmick season is being planned.

Quote:
The eighth season of The Amazing Race, which is due next fall, will be a family affair.

In its biggest wrinkle yet, the show will pit fewer, but larger, four-member teams of relatives. But not just Mom, Dad and two kids: Applicant teams can consist of siblings, three-generation families, even engaged couples with one set of parents.

"We're really looking for strong back stories," such as an estranged but newly reunited family, host Phil Keoghan says.

All racers must be 12 or older; at least one per team must be 21 or older. Race 8 will be filmed this summer, during school vacation.

"Putting families out there in this format will bring a completely different dynamic" says Keoghan, who will begin a cross-country casting call in early spring (applications at www.cbs.com).

A ninth season, which returns to the original format, is scheduled for early 2006.

I thought I heard them say 2 weeks last night, but I'm not positive.
