Yeah, I still have to pimp my league.

But that's why I put it way down and bolded it.

There's a good possibility they're in mourning.

Honestly just thinking about the game makes me sick to my stomach. It's not so much that they lost or even that they got destroyed. It's that OU looked really good on USC's first possession, then marched 93 yards for a touchdown. I let out a deep sigh when that happened. I guess I shouldn't have.

Honestly when you guys are ready to breakdown the game from your points of view I am ready to hear it. Not as a diss or anything but as a football i like to hear what other fans think.

You know, I'm not even sure if I want to think about it that hard. I could say a few things that I believe wholeheartedly.

1.) Yes OU turned the ball over about a billion times, but they would have lost this game even if they hadn't.

2.) I'm very suprised that OU seemed to have been thoroughly outcoached because that doesn't happen very often. Their defensive gameplan completely ignored Leinart's ability to go over the top and didn't seem to make much of an effort to get pressure on him from anyone other than the down four. Offensively, (and I think someone mentioned this in the other thread) USC's corners were jumping routes all game, and OU never even made an effort to combat that.

3.) USC did a much better job of stopping Peterson than I expected them to do, but again there was a problem with OU gameplanning. How many runs did Peterson gain yards going up the middle? Next to none. But when they ran some stuff outside, or even that little flip that they beat to death against Texas, Peterson gained 5-9 yards each time despite USC's speed. Apparently, OU failed to notice that.

4.) As much as I think that, at the time, White deserved the Heisman trophy, it is clear that Leinart is the better quarterback. Unfortunately for White, it does seem as if he has a problem in the big games, and I think that reputation will stick with him.

5.) USC looked like a well-oiled machine. OU looked like high-schoolers with their repeated and boneheaded mistakes.

6.) USC is not as good as they looked, and OU is not as bad as they looked. I honestly believe that if this game was played ten times, these two teams would split, regardless of the bashing OU will take for years to come over this one.

7.) And last but not least, although this will certainly hurt OU's reputation as well as their recruiting and even some fan enthusiasm, I've been watching OU football for a long time, and I feel certain that they will rebound. They won't be a Championship contender next year because of all the talent lost, but they'll be back in the NC game sometime in the next few years.

Those are my thoughts.
