I think she'd rather you do her well, but good luck anyway.

I've always thought she was hot. After I saw those pictures of her in FHM, I really want to do her now.
$40 a day and then have sex, would be a good theme for a show. Todd |

and here I am. my wife and I just watched an episode where she was cutting up a giant cucumber. she commented that she was AMAZED that I was able to avoid making a perverted comment about it. then, Rachael went to squeeze out a lime, and talked about a technique to "get the juices flowing". Couldn't lay off that one. and yes, I'd hit it, even for just 30 minutes. she's basically the epitome of what I'd want for in a woman (if I didn't already have the perfect one of course): she's cute, she's not too skinny, she's a brunette, she's got a sense of humor, she can cook, and she has that "good girl" thing going on that drives me absolutely wild.

Eh, she is pretty nice when she gets all dressed up for when does the fine-dining segments. She's just too annoying to me, so that might be why. |

She's definitely the hottest celeb chef in foodtv right now (which my wife and I watch frequently). At first when Rachel was doing the $40/day show, I didn't like her because her perkiness and roll-your-eyes-after-every-bite was annoying. But reading her bio and watching her actually cook, I've come to respect her (plus she lives in a cabin in the Adirondacks, that's cool).
For fans of foodtv, did you catch the names of Jamie Oliver's daughter? Honey Poppy and Daisy Boo. Those silly Brits... Last edited by Buccaneer : 12-29-2004 at 06:56 PM. |

the one pic of her taking out the turkey really, really bothers me. it looks like it's digitally manipulated, and poorly at that. the head looks like it was pasted on to the body - it's too big, not the right angle, and the lighting is completely different. I've always been perturbed by that.

Some E.V.O.O. in the garbage bowl anyone? It's a good drinking game. Everytime she says either of those, chug.
I always thought she was cute, but now I have a thing for her thanks to the FHM pics. |

She's got a horse mouth.
And I agree with DD about that turkey pic. That's a horrific cut and paste job.

After web searching to find out who the heck Rachel Ray & Samantha Brown are, I have reached the conclusion that this is a duplicate thread & probably should be merged with:

The main problem I got with Rachel Ray (not a looks post, btw.... ok, now that half of the readers have turned away and moved on...) is on her $40/day show, she only makes it under $40 because she tips HORRIBLY! It is like she is leaving a 5% tip, if that! I guess she figures, hey, free publicity and all, but that's sooo cheap.

The publicity those restaurants get is worth alot more then the tips. Plus, alot of the restaurants will take her on a tour, into the kitchen, entertain with the top guy (owner, chef, whatever). |

She probably leaves them money on the side off camera. But technically, she gives them 15% (which in my opinion is the minimum - not to turn this thread into a tipping etiquette thread). The problem is when her check is only $9 or so, 15% looks really bad. Normally, most people don't tip on percentage when its lets say under $15 or so. For example, are you really going to leave only $0.75 on a $5 check? You'll probably end up throwing down a buck or two. |

Actually, if you look again, the 15% is listed for 'TAX AND TIP'. I'd imagine the Tax reduces the tip by less than 15%. And she may indeed leave money on the side off camera, but that's cheap .

A lot of places she goes to for non-dinners are places not easily tippable. Lunch carts, snack shops, take out delis, etc. that are not table service, you wouldn't normally tip at all - except to put some change in a jar.
