Am I the only one who's a little tired of the sensationalism of this trial?

When was the last time anyone was ever actually put death in California? Why does this even matter when both sentences will in effect equal the same thing?

That's a point that's been made around here. There are over 600 inmates on death row in California, and only a handful have ever been executed. There's been some speculation that Peterson would actually be better off on death row - better conditions, better lawyers, more attention paid to his appeals, etc. Either way, I don't give a damn anymore. He's been found guilty, and he's never getting out of jail. Fine. Done. Please stop broadcasting updates about nothing on the radio and TV every five minutes. Please. Maybe it's just worse because I'm in N. Cal. |

What made me sick is the fact that there was a fucking 'USA Original Movie' (or some network, I forget) made about Peterson...before the trial was over.
Hell, before, after, during the trial, I don't care. No. Bad. Die. Rot. Bleed. |

Yep. And Peterson will have an easier time of it there. Not only that, but the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals that will eventually hear his case has overturned more death penalties than they have allowed. So, I'd say our boy Scott is probably not too worried at this point. |

The news down here went to some of the death row immates and it doesn't look like it'll be fun for him. "I know we're all felons in here and have messed up, but he killed a child man. That's not right, it's just a baby"

Don't these people look awfully happy for a group who just sentenced a guy to death no matter who the guy is? SI

Considering all the money they'll eventually rake in from this, it's not surprising how happy they look.

10 inmates were executed, 21 inmates died of natural causes, but how many died at the hands of other inmates? I think Scott is going to find life at San Quenten unpleasant. He has a few strikes against him and I don't think he will last too long:
1. He is famous and it would probably be presitgous to kill or hurt him, franklinnoble style; 2. He kiled his unborn child; I think that inmates who commit crimes against children find prison quite tough. They are at the bottom of the pecking order. Many violent men in prison have and love kids; 3. He is a soft white boy from the suburbs who might not be accustomed to surviving amongst the criminal element. it is one thing to kill your innocent wife, but it is another thing to kill a mexican-mafia essa who is willing to give you a tracheotomy with a spork if you look at him. Now, Scott should be in some sort of lock down, but I know from watching Law and Order that nobody is safe in prison. |

"Push the plunger?" I must have missed the ballot initiative where California switched from lethal injection to death by swirlie... |

Apparently death by plunger. Actually, I think it's getting hung upside with your head stuck in a toilet while someone flushes it. |
