What other language/s can you speak?
The ethnicity thread got me thinking:
Other than English, what language or languages can you speak? I don't think anything you learn in high school should count - so I'm not counting my HS Latin ( o me miserum ). Both my parents are Polish born and I grew up speaking only Polish around the house. I can still speak it reasonably well now. Over/under on the number of posts it takes someone to say American as their other language? |

A year of Greek and a semester of Latin. I couldn't conjugate a verb in either language now.

I used to be fluent in Spanish, now I remember about a quarter of the words I used to know and about half of the conjugation patterns.

Counting HS and college I took 8 classes of french(and one class of cajun-french). Still don't speak it all that well, but have enough of it in the back of my head that if I were to ever be immersed in the language for a short while, it may all come out.

I took four Spanish classes in college, and I remember a little bit of it. When I was taking the classes, I actually intended to continue studying Spanish in order to be fluent, but I gave up. So American be about the only thing I can talk.

Learned French way before I learned any bits of English, so there's that. In fact, I barely "speak" English during any regular week. Many days go by without me saying a complete English sentence, other than usual expressions and stuff... I do read/write/hear a lot of stuff in English, but speak not very often, hehe...

German. My Italian has faded with time and I did take French lessons a couple of years ago, but hated it. So I wouldn't count it.
