Well, that was painful to watch. N.D. looks like it has some good young skill guys and played inspired defense.

Don't woof too loud, South Bend fans. Which one of these teams is looking for its 30th straight bowl appearance, and which one remained home during last year's bowl season?

Of course, a few more offensive outputs like this one, and Michigan isn't going anywhere in December or January.

Yeah, you're probably right. I should focus on last year and 1974 rather than what happened today

It sucks starting a true freshman, but in the future it should pay off. Maybe OSU will lose too, which would bring a silver lining.

I'm not trying to diss on Walker or anything, he had a great performance..but did you hear when they said that he was the first ND freshman to run for 100 yards since Julius Jones? Then the very next sentence, they talked about how Jones did last year! I mean, if Jones ran for 100 yards in a game as a freshman, why would they expect someone else to do it before he graduates?

Henne will be good, but he was pressing too much. I think that Michigan would have put the ball in the endzone early with Guiterez at QB. Henne should probably have been yanked for Richard, just to try and spark the team (plus that would have changed the way the defense reacts, as he's a southpaw.) As it was, Henne looked very much like a kid who just got outta high school. The only reciever that caught the call in stride was Breaston on that TD once the gave was already lost. Good game ND. See you next year...

I hate Notre Dame. I hate them worst than Texas (and that's saying a lot)!

All I can say is after watching the Irish today, no matter what Ty better be back next year. The offense looked MUCH better in the second half of the game today, and looked better than it has going back to Holtz.

I hope Mr. Willingham will be back next year. It would be a shame if he's not back. I think he will lead ND to a Nat. Champ. 0r 2 within the next few years.

I am rooting for Notre Dame because of Willingham, yet it upsets me that Willingham left Stanford for the Irish (not that I can't understand).

BTW, Stanford is up 2 TD's on BYU in the second half. Please, Stanford, let's go bowling this year.

Tequila-produced subject change: My girlfriend's friends are talking about how, when they were 11, would pretend to be hookers and have sex with invisible men. I'm moving to the Bible Belt.

Damn. Damn. Damn.

Now that any national title hopes are out of the question, November needs to arrive quickly. Bring on OSU.

Go Darius!

Has anybody seen Bill Deidrick??? That certainly didn't look like his gameplan. See what happens when you try to run the football? Maybe Ty had a few words with him during the week. There is some talent on that offensive line and the backs are certainly better than average. There is no excuse for ND to abandon the run like they did last week and much of last year.

And when the offense can sustain some drives and give them time to recharge, ND's defense can be something.
