It's (Going to be) a...

...Girl

finally, on our 4th ultrasound, the technician finally was able to get a pretty good view of the baby's "parts" - at least, good enough to not see a "wheedwacker" (her word, not ours). Still not 100% sure, but sure enough for me to get started on my hair braiding lessons...

so, we're pretty excited, because we'd been kind of hoping for the 2nd one to be a girl. Not that I'm really surprised - from day 1 with Graham, we had a feeling it was a boy, and this one we both had good feelings that it was a girl (I told my wife yesterday we didn't even need the ultrasound, because I was sure of it).

now we can start focusing on coming up with names. Hannah Logan seems to be the frontrunner right now, but Lauren Elizabeth is another possibility. I think once we settle on a name, it'll make things easier on explaining the whole concept to Graham - he sort of gets it, but sort of doesn't.

Hannah Logan sounds good. Especially when you add Driscoll-Carignan. It has such a nice ring to it you know?

Congrats!

Two girls here, so I'm used to it. In fact, having a boy seems like it would be strange getting used to. Maybe you'll fee the same with a girl.

Oh, and I can attest that despite the lack of a "weedwhacker," you can still get spritzed when changing diapers. Just happened to me over the weekend.

Keep us informed...

LOL! Yeah, that's a consideration - make sure you pick a name you like saying a lot! Also, if it helps with a pet name, that's even better. We've had a difficult time coming up with a pet name for Mackenzie. Right now, it's Mackie-Doodle, but I've started calling her Monkey because she recently began scratching the top of her head while she drinks a bottle, and she looks like a monkey when she does this.

Odd, I know. But then again, I call our first daughter Woogaboo, which I came up with as a bastardized version of WinniethePooh. I got so sick of listening to that damn song, I started screwing with the words, and ended up with Woogaboo. Now that's what I call her.
