Don't forget Cecil "the Diesel" Collins. I think his time in the federal pen will be up in about 10 years. He should be ready by then.

Yeah Cecil was one of Jimmy's pet projects; the reckless guy with a ton of talent. Lawrence Phillips and Demetrius Underwood are other examples. It makes no sense why he passed up Randy Moss.

Because compared to these guys Moss was a model citizen. Wasn't Collins the guy who climbed up a ladder and watched some chick have sex with her husband, then later break into their house and masturbate on her? Phillips, of course beat the hell out of his volleyball playing girlfriend, and Underwood only tried to kill himself. I think Moss was just guilty of smoking pot and cheating on exams (like none of us ever did so much). Like I said, relatively model citizen.

Sorry, forgot 'bout that. But that happened in the pros. The stuff these other guys did was all before joining an NFL team.

fair point, but Moss went to Marshall, where there is less trouble to be had (or found out about).

Kinda like Florida State, wait a minute, they booted Moss too. Man, forgot 'bout that too. How nasty do you have to be to be rejected by Bobby Bowden? Then as I recall John Cooper turned him down at Ohio State.

Wheatley? Is Garner still with Oakland? Zack Crockett comes to mind, although he might still be with Oakland.

Oh wait, what about overweight Troy Hambrick. Key word there is brick, he could run through a brick wall, or run out-of-bounds.

Yup. There were rumblings about Tampa and New England giving him a tryout last year, but I think he postponed them... and then kind of never rescheduled. My guess is if we haven't even heard his name this offseason, that he decided he's done for good. |

Davenport is now simply referred to as "Dookie" around these parts. Its similar to when someone named Bruce gets up to plate and the crowd chants "Bruuuuuuce" where it sounds like Boooo. Except in this case, of course, its "Doooook".

Jim Jensen? In his time, he could play running back for the Dolphins, as well as most other positions on offense and special teams.

Maybe Dave Wannstedt can suit up himself. He's been pretty elusive in terms of not getting fired when he blatantly should have been. Maybe he could be that elusive on the field.

I read this morning they are talking to the Chiefs about a deal for Larry Johnson. Sitting behind Holmes it's hard to tell if Johnson is any good as a pro. If he's anything like we saw in college this might work, but don't trade Ogunleye for him. Please, let's not be that stupid. Oh, we are talking about Wannstedt, aren't we.
