Buying new LCD Monitor
Ok I got a question, I'm looking for a new LCD monitor and have really narrowed down my choices to about 4 Monitors. I'm trying to pick between the Hyundai Q17, NEC 1760V, Proview PS- 776D, and Solarism LM-1730. Heres the specs:Specs
There are reasons to get all of them. I'm mostly concerned with the contrast and ms and maybe the DVI support if any of you think that improves the picture a lot, I wouldn't know.

I am still waiting for the LCD monitors specs to get so where you can play 3D games on them without ghosting, streaking, etc. I still hear that they are not there yet but I don't what spec(s) to be looking at.

How do you actually find out if your card currently supports DVI outputs?

Well, for one thing, you might want to take a look in the back of your computer to see if the connector is supported. It's normally white, a little bit longer/wider than a serial (but not by much), and has a pin in the style of a ' - ' at one end, with pins finishing out the other.
Try: http://www.cmsa.wmin.ac.uk/~alan/components/conn/ Scroll down, to the 'DVI' part. You'll know what I'm talking about when you see it. Your videocard should have something like this, as the DVI connector on the LCD will feature the same thing.

BTW - in the link, you'll see the standard 15 pin serial connector most monitors run on. As you can see, much smaller in length than the DVI. There are some machines out there, that have this kind of connector going out from their PC, and then ending with a DVI connector.
Personally, I wouldn't say it's a 'true' DVI connection, since your signal will essentially have to be converted and all. Well, in the end, so long as you've got those DVI connectors in both your computer and your monitor - you're set.
