I love the city of Boston, Fenway Park and New England in general. Plus I grew up in family of multi-generational Yankee haters (they were all Brooklyn Dodgers fans).

4-1 Sox so far. Looks like we will finally beat them in something.

Relish it; it will be the only thing in which the Red Sox ever beat the Yankees.

Im a big Joe Torre & Jeff Weaver fan so its gotta be the Yanks!

Id much rather spend a day watching a game at Fenway than Yankee stadium though. Red Sox fans know baseball better than any other city.

I have to say, I think the "I am a fan of whatever team is playing the..." statement is the most ridiculous one in all sports fandom.

It's one thing to hate the Yankees if you're a Mets, Red Sox or Orioles fan. But this I hate the Yankees and occasionally I root for 'X' business is just silly.

I don't care much for the Dolphins or Cowboys. But that's because I like the Jets and Giants.

What Blackadar said.

I'll never forget walking in the city of Boston the day after Game 6 of the '86 series. (The Buckner incident)

It was windy and rainy and it seemed as if the whole city had given up on the team despite the fact that there was one more game to be played.

:sigh:

Too bad Game 7 turned out just like we thought it would. Man, do I despise New York baseball teams.

Thanks a lot guys for making me relive that painful chapter of my life.

Yankees all the way. They have always been my favorite AL team (Don Mattingly was my favorite player when I was younger.)

Of course, the Cubs are my favorite team overall, but as a fan of baseball history its hard not to like the yankees. I'll admit I'm not a big Steinbrenner fan, but who among us wouldn't want someone like him as owner of our favorite team. His drive to win (while excessive at times) is something baseball needs more of.

Why is it that so many people hate the Yanks ?

Is it just because they're so successfull ? or is it because of Big George and his wallet ???
