Question Simcity 4

I can't seem to find the thread on SimCity 4, I think it was on the other FOFC board.

Anyone who has this, how is it? I haven't played any version of SimCity in years, saw it at Walmart and almost bought it. I was actually looking for MS Flight Simulator 2002.

Looks like the game has come along way, there are ton of neat features.

Is it worth purchasing?

Thanks,

Todd

It's not bad. As with most games like that, my wife is playing it more than I am (I just picked up OOTP4 again). It's pretty fun, but if you don't have a newer computer, it'll be a little slow.

It's fun. It takes a really long time to build up your city, which is probably a good thing

I like it. I've been waiting on the patch. Now that it's out, I'll probably play a bit more.

I just bought a new Dell 2ghz pc not too long ago. I've been trying to find a game that can utilize my system to its fullist.

I might give it a shot. Thanks for the replies.

I'm considering this as well. My long time friend and fellow gamer, (who like me played the original SimCity and a little bit of the awkward 2000, but nothing since then) recently bought it. The main question I asked him was the intrusion of "the sims" crap. He said that they really can be ignored or at least, minimized. This was what prevented me from picking this up earlier but now, I would like to hear your gameplay reviews.

Btw, I'll always have a special place in my heart for SimCity. The original was what got me hooked on PC gaming and I bought my first PC (a Mac Classic) just so I could play SimCity.
