Hattrick - Howto bid on foreign countries players ?

hi Guys, just got a hattrick team today. After reading dynasties here, the best option is to start hiring a passable goalkeeper.

There are 3 available in France but are all around $200K, and I'd like to see if there are cheaper guys elsewhere. Problem is I can only see the French market. Is there a way to search for all players (not necessarily based in France) ?

PS : if the $200K is the market price, just let me know, and I'll buy. My team is #4 in French D IV.40 with 6 games remaining and I am 4 points behind league leader.

You have to switch the country tab, then go to Transfers underneath it. The country tab is on your left whenever you startup hattrick, when you log in it goes to your native country by default. So just click your country then you can scroll to what country you want then hit transfers. Once in there you can set parameters of players to look for like passable in goalkeeping etc and it will show players from that country.

It takes time but sometimes you can find some steals.

When I started I bought my passable keeper at 90000-ish. If thats about that range in Euro that seems pretty good. Dont get in a huge bidding war with someone over him though, set yourself a limit and stick to it adding maybe a couple of extra bids to see how far the other guy will go.

Who has the higher leadership rating? If one of them has a passable or better bid on him, thats an extra bonus if you need a captain or you get an extra one. If neither one do go for Flannigan.

The 18-year old Henriksson is higher because of his age.

My #1 rule of thumb is avoid Sweden like the plague, you will never end up with a good price because they go into bidding wars over there. Sweden has all the power in hattrick because they have most of the money. I think they have like 20000 teams

Donskoy is the prototypical guy you want to bid on for a keeper. Young (19)and trainable at passable with passable leadership. This means he is resellable. I would go higher than normal for him, max of around 150-160000 (he is only at 105 now). Some people will disagree with that though. Do what you think is right.

He is also in a country where you might get away with it.

No problem. That process by the way of searching in less populated countries works wonders, you can find some gems doing that, although it does take some patience. Its worked for me in building a midfield. If I ever get out of debt I will go for a forward. That may be in 2007.

youth squad is already at 20K. I've also hired an assitant coach( useless, useful ?). I'm also training defense. That's for the basics

Very useful, assistant coaches, how good your coach is, what your training is set at, and how old are the players, are the factors that go into how long it will take to train a player to the next skill level.

You also need to have at least one Keeper coach so that your Keeper will keep his form.

You should only have a maximum of 10 coaches. (i.e, 7 assistant coaches, 3 GK coaches....8 assiatant coaches, 2 GK coaches) If you are training keepers, just switch that around.

Just get whatever you can afford to spend and pay every week.
