OT: What games have been made into the worse movies?

All though they did make her look very hot, I thought Final Fantasy wasn't very good.

Also Resident Evil did not win my vote either.

Let' see there is one more that I am trying to thing of.....

Any others you can think of?

Tomb Raider.

I spent all this time trying to find the Naked Tomb Raider patch, eventually finding it. Come to find out you can't do the same with the movie. Huge disappointment.

Street Fighter. One of the three worst movies I've EVER seen.

The only three I have not been able to sit through in their entirety?

Street Fighter: The Movie
Dragonheart
Tank Girl

There was a Myst movie?

I vote for Street Fighter.

This is relevant, but quite painful.

I think Street Fighter is a highly underrated movie. Highly underrated. Was it great? No. But it's a movie based off of a stupid fighting game. So, taking it for what it is, it's really not half bad. It's all camp. Major Bison, Raul Julia's last role (sadly enough), is fantastic. He's over-the-top. Ridiculous. And has a great exchange with Chun Li (who is after him for revenge):

Chun Li: My father saved his village at the cost of his own life. You had him shot as you ran away. A hero at a thousand paces!

Bison: I'm sorry... I don't remember any of it.

Chun Li: You don't remember?!

Bison: For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me... it was Tuesday.

Classic line. Bison is great.

Not to mention the fact that throughout the movie all of the character's clothes became more and more like the outfits they wear in the video game. By the end of the movie everyone is decked out in their appropriate attire.

Though not game related, I think the worst movies I ever saw in the theater were "Highlander 2" and "Mimic"? I think it was "Mimic." Some crap-ass movie with Mira Sorvino about giant cockroaches. That movie sucked major ass.

As for Clue. Genius. Classic. Incredibly funny and chalk full of great lines.

Street Fighter the movie was Raul Julia's last, what a waste of a great actor.

I agree on Wing Commander. I think they used the entire movie budget on getting Freddie Prince Jr. to play the main character. Now if you got the guy who played him in the game series (I can't think of his name for some incredibly odd reason), then that movie would have been a hundred and four times better.

Double Dragon I was afraid to see, the same goes for Mario Bros.

I also think Street Fighter, for what it was, was a good movie. It was very corny yes. But so were the old Japanese dubbed Godzilla movies...and I own every one of them.

Communism was just a red herring

By jove, Clue is one of my favorite movies. It is comedic masterpiece. The ends of the movies are the best.

Wadsworth: There's no more bullets left in that gun.
Miss Scarlet: Oh, come on, you don't think I'm gonna fall for that old trick?
Wadsworth: It's not a trick. There was one shot at Mr. Boddy in the Study; two at the chandelier; two at the Lounge door and one for the singing telegram.
Miss Scarlet: That's not six.
Wadsworth: One plus two plus two plus one.
Miss Scarlet: Uh...there was only one shot at the chandelier... that's one plus two plus ONE plus one.
Wadsworth: Even if you were right, that would be one plus one plus two plus one, not one plus TWO plus one plus one.
Miss Scarlet: Okay, fine. One plus two plus one--SHUT UP! The point is, there's one bullet left in this gun, and guess who's going to get it?

Hilarious

I kind of liked Clue, but I have to be in the right kind of mood for it. Tomb Raider is only worht watching because she is hot, shame we didn't get to see a little bit more of her. Pretty much any movie about a video game has sucked. I really can't think of one that was worth it's weight. I think any conversion of movie to game or game to movie usually isn't worth it.

Star Wars had a couple good games, one really great one.
Die Hard games suck.
Star Trek games pretty much suck, but I guess that would be staying true to the nature of the show.
The Bond game for the computer isn't that good, merely okay.
The Aliens vs. Predator game was good.
The Thing isn't worth it.

It seems that a good game from a movie is the exception to the rule.

As for the other way around I think there is no exception to the rule, just that they have to be bad.

Clue is hilarious in some spots...

Madeline Khan's Mrs. White is funny especially when she admits to murdering her husband...

"Flames, FLAMES, shooting out of my head..."

It's a nonthinking movie...the bonus is you get to see all the endings, I believe moviegoers didn't.
