AI can play LBs as DEs in the depth chart but I can't

whenever I set the AI to control my depth chart, it sets my best rushing linebacker to be a defensive end in certain situations. however, if i take control of the depth chart, I can't set the same player into the same exact position on the depth chart. very strange because I'm able to play my defensive ends at outside linebacker

That's weird. I remember feeling surprised by how restrictive things are when setting the depth charts, especially given the fact that the "fit" column doesn't seem as restrictive.
