FOFC Favorite Rock Act - Championship

Well, in the end, not much drama as it comes down to 1 vs. 2, and from past voting it looks like the seeds will hold out for the entire tournament. Thanks to all that voted as we get ready to crown FOFC's favorite.

Very interesting. My number one was the number one seed. Such a great library of work. Was interesting to hear the discussions in those early rounds.

Enjoyed doing it, just wish we had seen a few more upsets along the way

I wonder how it plays out if you hadn't made the seeding public.

I thought about that, drawing the matchups similar to the FA Cup so it was random each time. Might have made it more interesting.

I would have advocated for using the seeds exactly as you did to determine matchup, but just don't list the seeds when you made the poll.

Or maybe use them the way tennis does, where there's only a certain amount of protection for more favored seeds.

Or maybe we should just appreciate the fact that someone took the time to arrange a little distraction that was just a bit of fun

Oh, not a complaint in the least - I know how much work that must have been

Just idle musing.

Maybe we should do an NIT-style also-rans tournament featuring only American bands?

A swiss style tournament might have been fun too, might have made it a little more unpredictable.

I am going to do something with lead singers down the road and may use that format for that.

I would have voted for Zep if I knew when the poll was up. Seemed like a really short voting window.
