They guy that basically invented the zombie movie and show genre passed away at the age of 77.

I remember the original Dawn of the Dead was a great movie. Back in the 80's it scared the heck out of me. I loved how they ended up at the mall.
His subsequent zombie movies really weren't that great but I'll always remember him as the guy responsible for my zombie fascination. |

RIP Mr. Romero, your movie's changed my childhood. I remember staying up really late to watch Dawn of the Dead on cinamax when i was around 8 or so. Great times.... You will be missed.

The original Dawn of the Dead is my favorite movie alongside Empire Strikes Back.
I would argue that in the field of movies that I enjoy, both Romero and Lucas had an equal impact in their genres. Sad to see him go. |
